Friendly's

I loved dining at this Friendly's. Julia was our server, and she was super attentive and nice. Friendly's is nostalgic. I'm glad this location sill has the traditional decor and in great shape too. The food was fresh, I had a large chicken salad, and the sundae didn't disappoint. I would highly recommend a stop in!Food: 5/5

I arrived with my two granddaughters around 7pm on a week night soaked from the pouring rain. We waited in the nearly empty restaurant to be seated for approx 15 minutes. When the host finally seated us, she asked if we there for a meal or just ice cream and we explained we were there for dessert. A small group of UMass college kids were the only other patrons and they were quite rowdy, yet had the full attention of the lone waitress. We waited patiently for another half hour, but we're ignored completely. The kids were wet and cold so we decided to leave with three ice cream cups from the cooler. I waited again at the counter to pay and again after some time a young man came to the counter. He asked if that was all we wanted and I explained how we had been planning on getting more but never saw a waitress. Without asking further he rang up the $5 worth of ice cream and paused for a tip. I was more than a little agitated but decided this was not representative of the many visits to this restaurant my family had made over the years, so I thanked him instead and drove the kids home. Upon reaching our house about 20 minutes later the kids sat down to eat dessert. The ice cream was freezer burned and the kids literally cried. I will never return to this friendlys again.

You go to Friendly's for nostalgia. Those other reviews that are upset about not having a fine dining experience are out of line ‍ The food came out hot and fast. The expanded menu led me to pause because there were so many enticing options. I enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich. I thought the size and preparation were good. The children portions were excellent. The ice cream and sundaes are exactly what you remember. Stop with the kids, have a great coke and revisit the fried Mac and cheese bites.

Went with a party of 4 including myself and service SUCKED. Took almost 10 minutes to get coffee and place our orders and then we waited and waited and WAITED for our food. 45 minutes later our food still hadn't arrived. We paid for the coffee and left. Staff argued that our order had been in less than 30 minutes, but people who arrived after us were seated and served almost immediately. Don't recommend for anything.

Loved it Me and the family stopped by here to have some lunch before going to the mall and saw this place from street side it looked nice from the exterior so we all decided to give it a try. They have outdoor seating available. No dress code requirement. Cash or credit accepted here. Good for large groups or small groups. As you enter you will be greeted by one of the waitresses and they will take you to your table. You will receive some menus and your drink order will be asked. They were fairly busy during our visit plus we had 5 people total and all of our food still came out promptly. Our food came out on these neat trays and the plating was nice. At the end of our meals we then decided to try out one other their dessert's It was the " strawberry shortcake with icecream" ....wow it was delicious Our server did such a great job we made sure to tip her 25 percent. Visited the Hadley location today. Came with 2 adults and 4 kids. It was chaos. But oh my goodness the staff was just so great! The food was good and quick. But literally, the staff was so kind, helpful and just so so lovely!Food: 3/5

Had a amazing dinner, food came out fast and my ice cream looked and tasted great. Kaitlyn G was my waitress and was more than helpful. Will come again :Food: 5/5

We came in 1 hour before closing, to get ice cream. We were a large party 12. Even though I’m sure the staff were tired after a long day, everyone was gracious and the service was terrific. In particular, our server Lijah Joyce, was patience and kindness itself. One of our group has celiac disease unable to eat gluten, and she took the time to look up and even brought out the ingredients charts for what was safe for him to eat there. We are truly grateful to her.

Not so great. Order our food. It took up to 35 minutes to get the food. The stuff came out cold. The cheese taste like burnt bacon. It was slow. A staff of 6. No reason for cold food. Look for somewhere else to eat. The fries was only a hand full. On each plate.if you order the waffle fries. Don’t get them. You might get 6 waffles fries, cold cheese. Bathroom no soap or toilet paper. Ketchup was empty. Didn’t see our waitress . The time we there

Our waiter was amazing. So kind and respectful. The food was secondhand to this delightful experience. The waiter made the experience worthwhile. If you go to the Friendly’s in Hadley, ask for Michael. He will make your day.
