Donna was absolutely fantastic! This is a must-see in Hugo! There is so much history and really interesting pieces. It was much larger than we anticipated. Donna was so knowledgeable, and her warm spirit made our visit so enjoyable! As a Hugo native I am proud that my hometown has such a high-quality museum. Great attention to detail, a huge array of exhibits and that cozy, old feeling a museum should have. Do not miss it while in southeastern Oklahoma.
A lot of things to see the employees were very nice we would go again
Super neat museum! So glad we stopped in! The workers are extremely nice and knowledgeable. Not just a train museum, they have all sorts of cool stuff!
I wish I could give this museum a glowing review. The staff was very welcoming and that's the best part of the place. Okay, so it's a free museum but it desperately needs some curating. The rooms are dark and dusty. We expected to see a restored Harvey Girls Restaurant display per the website information. The only displays pertaining to Harvey Girls are in the hot and dark upstairs. There is a small section downstairs to the left that was the baggage area which is now a little cafe. It has some authentic floor tiles and some furnishings from that period. The Circus memorabilia, nice miniature circus and posters were interesting and appealing. The rest of the displays just look sad and shabby. I dearly love small town museums but Frisco left much to be desired. Maybe someone will show it some love one day.
I had the honor to meet the owner and she was so wonderfully illustrated and kind even when the electricity was out for short time which as far as I know rarely happens and so it was really nice to be able to still meet with her and she allowed me to come in and I had a wonderful time
We loved our experience at this museum! Norman showed us around, and he was so friendly and knowledgable about the colorful history of his town, we felt lucky to have him as our guide. We would definitely return, if only to say hi to Norman :
A great opportunity to walk through the old depot and see a myriad historical items ravaged to the surrounding area.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
