Our wedding reception was held at Glen Island in the Terrace Room on July 7, 2023 and I wish we could do it all over again!!! To simply put it, thanks to Glen Island, it was the best day of our lives! All of our family and friends continue to talk about how our wedding, the gorgeous venue, and the FOOD was the best they've ever had! The staff and service at Glen Island are extraordinarily impeccable. Sandro was amazing to work with over the past year and a half. George was our maître d' and he made sure that every one of our needs were met. Our bridal attendant was Gabby and she was so sweet and helpful throughout the night. Anything that we needed they made sure it happened. We didn't have a care in the world on our wedding day because everything was taken care of. We were treated like royalty! They are truly professionals at what they do, and the fact that they can make a couple feel so confident that their dreams will become a reality is a comfort that is so valued while wedding planning. Glen Island is incomparable at what they do and truly the best wedding venue! Thank you Glen Island for making our dream wedding vision come to life!
Before the pandemic, I had the opportunity to attend a wedding at this venue. Unfortunately, the experience was not up to the standard one would expect. The food lacked quality; the fish I ordered was overcooked and bland, while the vegetables were undercooked. The desserts we received seemed incomplete, and we later discovered they had run out of certain ingredients. However, we saw the complete dessert being served to others who arrived after us, which was disappointing. The service was also below par. It took multiple requests to get our coffee, initially served black, without any cream, sugar, or napkins. Even after more demands and a considerable waiting time, when the milk was finally provided, the coffee had gone cold, and we were still missing sugar, a spoon, and napkins. The indifference and lack of motivation displayed by the staff were noticeable and negatively impacted our experience. The venue's location offers a view of the Long Island Sounds, which is pleasant but relatively ordinary, featuring a vast expanse of water and a few scattered islands. The scenic views might not be as breathtaking as at some beach clubs, particularly during sunset hours. The alternate panoramic view of Glen Island Park is lovely. Still, it requires a considerable walk to find suitable spots for taking photos, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues. Externally, the venue has a charming appearance, but the interior lacks the sophistication and style expected from such a place. On a positive note, the reception staff and bartenders were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the remainder of the team, who were less engaging and, at times, inappropriate in their comments. Based on my experience, I would advise looking for other options when planning an event.
This is hands-down, the best wedding venue we have ever visited since having our wedding there in 2021. It was our last venue to visit when we were touring different locations. We absolutely loved the upstairs room we toured. The ballroom, cocktail hour room, decor, and water views, everything it was just perfect. Rocco is an amazing and patient wedding coordinator, I don’t know what we would’ve done without him and his expertise in wedding planning. The staff and everyone that we had interaction with were just phenomenal. We had great reviews from our wedding guests. They kept telling us they had never been to a wedding like this before, how good the cocktail hour was, the open bar, was how much food there was, it blew their minds. I would definitely recommend having your event here, you won’t be disappointed.

Oh my goodness gracious we wish we could get married here all over again! The staff and service at Glen Island are extraordinarily impeccable. The ceremony room was exquisite and breathtaking, and I knew that this was the place we were going to get married from the first day that we tour the venue. We had our reception in the paradise room. Jack was outstanding and gracious working with us over the past year. Joseph was our maître d' and he made sure that everyone of our needs were met. Our bridal attendant was Evelyn and she was so sweet and helpful throughout the day. Anything that we needed they made sure it happened. We didn't have a care in the world on our wedding day because everything was taken care of. We were treated like royalty! They are truly professionals at what they do, and the fact that they can make a couple feel so confident that their dreams will become a reality is a comfort that is so valued while wedding planning. Not to mention the food was outstanding! Many of our guests told us that that was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. And some said it was the best meal of their life! Glen Island is incomparable at what they do. Visit them today and you will be so glad you did!
Let me start off by saying that mine and my now husband's parents are very hard to please. We are from NJ and visited at least a dozen different venues out there until a friend of a friend suggested seeing Glen Island Harbour club. The minute we drove out to the island and stepped outside we knew it was something special. Rocco was who we worked with from the beginning, and it was his warm presence and consistent help that we knew we had found our wedding venue. He was always so patient dealing with our long list of needs, but throughout never turned us down on anything. Our whole family came to love Rocco, and without surprise all the vendors praised him as being the best. The maitre d George and bridal attendant Stephanie were seriously the best and executed on our vision better than we would have ever imagined. Our parents were not only impressed by the level of service but were absolutely shocked how delicious and top notch the food was. We've been married for a little over two months now and there hasn't been a day that we haven't thought about how perfect our wedding was at Glen Island Harbour club. Our guests continue to tell us it's one of the best wedding venues they've every been to. We feel so lucky that we were able to have our ceremony and reception here, the best night of our lives. Excellent catering hall. Service food was all top shelf. I would love to vibe back again. Not one bad thing here. Venue was great too. Right on the sound. B outdoor dining too. They had everything you wanted and more.
I plan wedding professionally and the staff/team I worked with at Glen island for my 7/12/22 wedding was absolutely phenomenal. Rocco ours sales manager was friendly, professional and understanding. George our Matrie’D was the Best. We had some last minute changes and he just rolled right along with it. He was truly accommodating, friendly I enjoyed watching him work with his team/wait staff for the evening. The wait staff was also very well mannered, clean and well put together and had a wonderfully and friendly demeanor overall. Our Bridal assistant Louisa and her trainee was definitely one of the best I have ever worked with. Our bride and groom wanted for nothing! They were always in arms reach. The venue itself is gorgeous and has one of the best views of the harbor. The food is pretty good but the service made it great! Thank you Glen Island Harbor Club! -Bluu Ribbon Events Latisha

I can not speak more highly of Sandro, Joseph and Mia. My wedding was beyond exceptional. The venue, the attention to detail and the most magnificent food. This is the best venue in New York State hands down. Thank you for making the wedding reception of our dreams!
