It has been over 2 months since my mom passed and she was placed in her final resting place. My family worked with H S Smith Funeral Home and I am very grateful for the customer service they provided us during this time. Leading up to and after her funeral H S Smith Funeral Home assisted my family with the process as this was something we had never done. Thank you H S Smith Funeral Home. Your dedication to customer service while providing family and friends a sense of comfort was outstanding.
Losing a loved one is never easy, when we contacted H.S. Smith funeral home to assist with my mom, we didn't know what to expect and didn't know what all needed to be done.. But Jan helped in everything that mattered.. they handled everything from the death certificate to submitting the paper work for mom's life insurance..
H S treated us with much respect, couldn’t have ask for better service and being treated like family. 5 star all the way !!!
Trying to get information on a cousin that’s buried in Little Prairie Cemetery that this funeral home takes care of and they won’t even bother giving me the burial information i.e. Section, plot or grave number. “You have to come in to be shown because nothing will make sense” that’s not what I wanted, I want burial information not to be shown. What cemetery doesn’t have plot information or a place that won’t give it out? Absolutely ridiculous.
My aunt passed away a couple of years ago, and H S Smith Funeral Home was wonderful in handling the funeral arrangements. She passed away in another state and had to be brought back to Caruthersville, and the funeral home handled it all. They are compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy--and very good at what they do. I could not recommend them more highly.

H. S. Smith has served my family for several years and generations. I have never been dissatisfied with anything they have done.
