The location of this hotel is very convenient and it is easy to find. I checked in on the mobile app and the room was ready at around 2PM, which was a surprise. The room was very spacious and I could not hear neighboring rooms. The room faced north, and there was a decent amount of noise entering the room from the street. Some things that could be improved are the room decor, the front desk area, and food quality. Our room had a single "art piece" which was just news headlines. Why not pictures of the city? NYC themed? Or something visually appealing? I am not sure if it was the employees or the guests. But the front desk area was very crowded and moved very slow. Not convenient to ask a simple question. I liked the restaurant's appearance. We were sat near the large windows, with a view of the city. The food prices were higher than average, and the food was really not anything special. Had I not had the $35 credit to use, I probably would have skipped the restaurant. Rooms: Larger than expected, seemed clear. Decor was nothing special. Nearby activities: Very convenient location to Times Square Walkability: Easy walk from Amtrak Station & easy to find Food & drinks: The bar and restaurant staff was friendly. I wouldn't have eaten here if it wasn't for the $35 mandatory fee. Unfortunately, the food wasn't anything special.
This was my first visit to NYC from Texas and truly enjoyed my stay! I cant thank Elizabeth enough for all she did for my family and I. She made sure we felt special on our trip and it truly shows how much she enjoys her job. The food and beverages were excellent, thanks to Liz and her staff! The maid staff was extremely kind and they made me feel at home. The King room was large, the bed was comfy, but didn't have the best view. I will be returning and staying at this hotel for the hospitality, convenience, and genuine care they put into serving their customers. Thank you Liz and the staff at Hilton Times Square! If you're looking for a great place to stay in NYC, look no further! Rooms: The rooms were large, not great lighting but they were clean and the bed was comfy. Safety: Felt safe as a single adult woman to walk around in and around the hotel. Walkability: Walkable to the heart of Times Square.
The location is ideal for staying in one of the most charming cities in the world, and the reception staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The view from the hotel is truly unparalleled - 4 stars are for the breathtaking view. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement. My room, #4112, had a musty smell from the A/C, and the additional charges for breakfast $60 and luggage storage $10 felt like an attempt to extract extra money from tourists who had already paid for their rooms. Despite these concerns, I would still recommend this hotel. Just be sure to carefully review any additional charges and the cleanliness of your room. I hope the management addresses these issues.
Beautiful room with a great view, and the location was ideal for us! I hate when hotels don't give you bottle water each day or have a refill station.. should be a standard. They are strict on the check time, but they do have a wonderful bag check. They gave us a daily credit for food/drinks.. we enjoyed using that credit at the bar. Wonderful cocktails!
Beautiful hotel, large, well-appointed rooms with spectacular views. Large closet, workspace, and user-friendly bathroom.I Staff is friendly and responsive. Roomy lounge/bar area with a wall of windows three floors above street level. Cons: ousekeeping keeps strict hours no room service after 11 and amenities should include a microwave.
What I expect from Hilton when traveling, a standard of service and well appointed rooms. The hotel is conveniently located if you need to be in times square with entrances on both sides of the block. Next to the theater and all the hustle that is NYC. The ground floor entrance serves as a choke point to get into the hotel main lobby with security maintaining a watchful eye. Breakfast was very basic for what I expected and the status credit doesn't cover the hot breakfast. But that's par for the course these days and it was nice to have something in the hotel period. Would stay here again in the future.
We had a great stay at the Hilton New York Times Square. I want to acknowledge and give a huge THANK YOU to Raquel at the front desk. She worked extremely hard to get our two rooms close to each other. She went above and beyond to help us out with patience and excellent customer service. You have a gem in Raquel and I would stay here again with that kind of customer service. Thank you, Raquel! The rooms were comfortable and I loved that the hotel provided queen beds. The location was great to what we wanted to do. My one negative and why I only rated 4 stars is concerning the fee applied to bags if stored after you check out. We paid a lot to stay at your hotel to be expected to pay an extra $5 per bag to store is ridiculous. I understand charging non guest but this should be an amenity to your paying customers.
Amazing location and very nice hotel. Everything you could ever need is within walking distance. We also brought our "elderly" canine and had no issues with having her there. There is a $75 non refundable fee. There is a park less than half a mile away for the canine potty breaks. All the staff was so friendly and helpful, especially the gentlemen running the valet and bell service. Breakfast is a decent continental or buffet style, the latter of which is $45 per person so we only ate in once but it was very good. We also had a great view that we were not expecting from the 38th floor. Walkability: So many entertainment options within walking distance. In the days I didn't venture beyond one mile from the hotel and I'm sure I only saw a tiny fraction of just that area.
The staff was friendly. The views were great in our room and in the lobby. The bar and restaurants had a nice view. I think the breakfast at $45 is overpriced, so we just got the $18 option and then went elsewhere on other days. Mandatory 15% gratuity also seems odd but I added additional tip anyway, the service was great. Everything was clean and functional but the bathroom in our room could have used some work. The ceiling looked like it needs to be fixed and the tub was a bit worn down. At this price point those things stand out more. The location was very useful for getting around town. I had to go uptown and downtown at different times and could get there quickly. We needed to drive into town and that can be a bit gnarly with traffic, but valet on 41st street is worth it if you absolutely need to drive in. I would stay again if the price was reasonable. NYC needs to fix the resort fees situation though, but that applies to every hotel.
We really had pleasant experience at The Hilton Time Square, the room was generally clean, the location is absolutely perfect, our view from the 40th floor was nice, and the staff were very helpful. Convenient location near many attractions, restaurants, and subway station. Breakfast is available for a surcharge, which is great. Helpful Notes: Stay away from rooms next to the elevator. The elevator sounds like a rocket! There's no sofa bed, even they mentioned that room sleeps 3! They will charge $50/night for roll-in bed go get an air-bed from Target across the street if you have kids If you need something, go to the front desk because no one in room service answers the phone! Rooms: Good Space Mini-fridge Safe Iron Hair dryer Coffee maker Large flat screen Nearby activities: Next to Madame Tussadu Restaurants Time Square Subway Food & drinks: Bar Restaurant Breakfast
