I am always here but have never left a review. It is my favorite station compared to Mohiyan and Grand Central. There are trains to all parts of Jersey and LI. The trains are pretty reliable just pay attention to signs and overhead announcements. There is a lot to do in the station and food that is not overpriced so if you have a delay or wish to come in earlier it will not be a bad idea. Just that there aren’t general sitting areas. However if you have a ticket you can seat in the designated ticketed area. There is also a restroom it is very busy but the lines move very fast!
So I was on my way to home from work & 7 train wasn't running this Sunday . So start walking the other way to find the 1 train. And I end up here on the Pennsylvania train station. All those years living in New York City & I had never been here. To my surprise what a beautiful & mostly clean station ! I am always surprised to see a clean metro station in New York City lol..! The colors , design is very nice. Directions are very clear . Stuff were also very kind & helpful! I had to walk a lot to get to this station & after all day working while standing my feet was in pain . The stuff I asked the direction realized that & actually came with me half way so I don't get lost ! I highly appreciate that , didn't had the energy to walk more . Lots of places to get food. Now I know if the 7 train doesn't work which way to go lol. And you all know me, even while I was literally having pain on my feet I still had to took some pictures!
Great massive state!! Many thing's to do and see. Allot of History and culture. Love of the Art's music. Wide variety of food and entertainment to experience. Warm and friendly people and a feeling of love and caring. Great state to vacation and unwind.
This is across the street from Moynihan Hall it’s mostly for NJ transit now. Has plenty of eating options & few stores. It’s also under Madison square garden so there’s access to there.
Train station Penn Station on 33rd and Pennsylvania has received a much-needed renovation and facelift. It's modern and still clean. It's very cold outside so there are still lots of homeless wandering about the station. There are lots of shops and places to eat. There's a Starbucks there too, I recommend you go 20 minutes early because of the long lines. The restrooms can be atrocious. This place is huge and you can very easily get lost. You can catch a taxi right out front or catch the subway on 34th. Have safe journey
Taking the train to New York City with a huge group. Spectacular views interior and exterior. With Madison Square Garden sports area right outside! Spending the day with friends roaming the city before catching train from the city back to Orange County New York! Had a blast!! Whoo!
A dirty, decaying, outdated bunker that can barely handle the overcrowding at rush hour, especially because of how New Jersey Transit tends to withhold train track assignments until the very last second. Some hallways and areas have become homeless camps. The train platforms are very narrow and become easily congested as passengers are forced to bottleneck and squeeze into narrow escalators and stairwells to enter and exit. There’s almost no seating around the station and I think just one restroom. Ceilings are falling apart, the floors are a mess, a lot of the signage with track and route information has broken and not been replaced on the west side. NJ Transit trains consistently depart late and arrive late. The decaying, 100-year-old tunnel New York-Penn Station depends on is frequently a cause of delays and suspensions. The subway stations are cramped, dark and dirty.
New York city Penn station which connects multiple places, cities, towns with New York. Here you can find trains to most of the new Jersey cities via NJ transit and new york cities via long rail and subways. It is a very good place as it is always crowded and you can get everything inside the Penn station..
Easy walk through. Plenty of monitors and the customer service desk at the New Jersey Transit was very helpful. Clean and fairly quiet for the largest city in the world!! NYC baby!!
the station building itself is v nice, grand views from outside to empire state building, lots of food options. i used amtrak to canada, and was mildly shocked that passengers are treated a bit like cattle: wait here for queue, queue her for platform, follow the leader to platform - do not wander off route, you are being watched! - , get on train without pausing on platform... they tell you its all for safety but what safely queuing in station building might mean eludes me completely ; the square building in my third pic is across the street, the subway station
