This is not my first visit Grand Central Terminal in New York stands as an architectural marvel, its iconic celestial ceiling and opulent interiors evoking a sense of timeless elegance. Serving as both a bustling transportation hub and a cultural landmark, it encapsulates the city's vibrant energy and rich history. It is a must !!!
Beautiful. And even when it's full of people, it doesn't seem very loud. The ceiling is gorgeous. The bathrooms are nice and clean which is a plus!! Just got to visit the market, or people watch. You will not regret it!
Grand Central Terminal is an absolute marvel and a must-visit destination for anyone exploring New York City. As a visitor, my experience there was nothing short of awe-inspiring. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the grandeur of the terminal. Its Beaux-Arts architecture, characterized by its iconic celestial-themed ceiling, elegant chandeliers, and intricate details, creates an atmosphere of timeless elegance. It's not just a transportation hub; it's a living work of art. Navigating the terminal was surprisingly easy, thanks to clear signage and helpful staff. It's the gateway to the city and beyond, with its extensive network of trains and subways connecting you to various neighborhoods and attractions. The dining options inside the terminal are exceptional, from casual eateries to upscale restaurants. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely meal, there's something for every palate. What truly impressed me was the Vanderbilt Hall, a magnificent space often used for exhibitions and events. It's a testament to the terminal's versatility and its role as a cultural hub. Overall, Grand Central Terminal is a quintessential New York City experience. It's a place where history, art, and transportation converge, and it left me with a deep appreciation for the city's grandeur and sophistication. A visit to Grand Central Terminal is a journey through time and architecture, making it an unforgettable part of any New York City adventure.
Beautiful place, you have to visit it, the old train lines are a travel to the past and the entire place is huge and full of life, people and beautiful architecture, there are stores inside and is nearby to more interesting places in New York.
An amazing terminal for numerous railroads and the subway, one of the busiest in the world. A truly beautiful historic building that also houses stores, a food court and the famous Oyster Bar.
Incredibly beautiful architecture! Very well organised tracks and the it’s kept very clean. Another interesting fact is that you and your travel partner can stand on opposite corners of the arched entryway and speak against the wall. You’ll be able to hear each other speak That’s the beauty of the whispering gallery of the grand central terminal located on the lower floor near the dining area.
Cool terminal. Architecture and design definitely feels epic and grand. The trains are generally easy to locate, but navigating the corridors can be annoying at times. You may find yourself going in/out the wrong entry doors, heading down the wrong hallway, navigating a lot of foot traffic from tourists, etc.
A great place to come and visit just to check out the architecture and design. We passed through the terminal as tourists even though we weren't actually travelling through Grand Central. Well worth a visit when you are in New York.
For a historic train terminal that is still operational, Grand Central Terminal is very efficient and very well upkept. Lots of history in the building as well as places to shop, eat, and rest. There is also new history deep under the terminal in the form of the Grand Central Madison station, which is enormous in its own right.
Grand Central Station is more than a train stop for its railroad visitors. This beaux-arts designed structure with its travertine arches, terrazzo floors, and brass clocks are absolutely beautiful. My personal favorite is the main concourse's ceiling mural of the zodiac star constellations. Visiting here is literally like stepping into a palace or cathedral. This Midtown Manhattan transportation hub is a distinguished and recognizable NYC icon with a colorful and tumultuous history whose existence was threatened many times, but lucky for us still stands today for its function is unquestionable. Plus, today we can continue to be in awe by its beauty.
