Horrocks is possibly the best place to visit in Lansing and definitely one not to miss!! It is a wonderland; the store holds many surprises, and it just keeps going and going. When you think you’ve reached the end, you have not, just keep going. Their fruits and vegetables are always fresh and delicious. They have so many unique and interesting items. I love that you can purchase alcohol and walk around the store and drink it while shopping. Also, the included Iorio's custard bar is always fun to stop at. The double sided soup bar is amazing and always has great soups to try. You can get everything at the store from fresh cheeses, frozen seafood, jams, jellies, pickled items, herbs, nuts, wine, beer, there’s even a Paleo food item aisle, as well as a taffy wall, gummy candy section and popcorn bar. It is also a greenhouse, therefore, there are many plants and gardening supplies available, as well as bird seed, grass seed, etc. The flavored balsamic and olive oil section near the coffee area is also fantastic. I also love that you can order a pizza and go out to the Beer Garden and eat it in the beautiful greenhouse area overlooking the mini pond. They also always have a food truck on premises, and in the winter time a stage and live bands in the beer garden. don’t miss out on visiting this magical wonderland.
“Horrocks... A place filled with Magic and good vibes “ Words like that were my son's words when he was at Horrocks this fathers Day weekend, and it's true. For some of us that have been in the area for a while, we’ve been witnesses of the magic inside this amazing place, plus how this market has been growing over the years with a great reputation intact. Not only is all of this, but it's also a pretty neat place where to go and buy it's been always an amazing experience. Thanks, Horrocks for being part of our community all these years filling our hearts with joy and great products
This place is great! You can spend the afternoon wandering around looking at all the goodies! So many things to take in! You can also snack and take an adult drink and walk around. Beer garden is a fun spot to sit &visit.
wow. seriously. This place is like a farmer's market on steroids. Their sign outside says "zucchini, cherries, cucumbers... So at first, we thought it was like a local grocery store. But inside, they sell everything from local jerseys to draft beer to pizza to gelato to flowers to custom oils and balsamic and coffee. To pretty much everything you need. Absolute pleasure to be in, and to get food and groceries. Though things are more overpriced than not, so try to keep your shopping list to local fares not available elsewhere.
A very eclectic place with lots of interesting and unique things. Excellent pizza and gellato. A great selection of local and European sweets. Lots of candles and dog toys/accessories. A large greenhouse area with a wide selection of plants. It was VERY busy when we were there. Seating was abundant, but difficult to find an open table.
We visited my son in the Lansing area and he suggested we visit their new favorite place, Horrocks Farm Market. From plants to foods, so many foods, they have a great offering of so many things. We spent most of our time in the groceries, looking at salsas, jams, fruits and vegetables, candy, oils, pastas, and so much more. There are a lot of bulk items, so you can grab as much or as little as you’re in need. There’s a lot to look at, and we found it helpful to break down the sections as we wandered. I can see why it’s a favorite.
OMG this place is amazing!! My friend brought me, I can't believe how much stuff they have. Prices are reasonable and so much to choose from, plan on having lunch outside there's lots to choose from
The market is amazing. There are so many hard to find food and garden items. It is such a unique afternoon of fun, food, and adventuring around. Found some amazing starter plants for both garden and landscaping. The bonus of lunch and drinks at the same spot was just too good to be true! The one down side: customers! Many were rude, cutting in line, shoving past to get items, or just plain having utter disregard for elderly with assistance devices, or mothers with small children. Would aim to go during the week, as my impression is that weekends are stupidly crowded and busy.
1st review Great unique pizza and drinks 2nd review Okay this review is for weenie McGee's this is a side business that this restaurant has over at Horrocks in Lansing. These dogs were absolutely amazing we went there on a Saturday night we got a selection of six dogs two flint Style, one 1 chicago, 1 Mac weenie, 1 German Shepherd and a regular bratwurst with jalapeno. At first I didn't think these would hit the spot I mean how good can hot dogs actually be. These were absolutely amazing worth a trip to Horrocks wow Weenie McGee is in place. It's a fun summer weekend trip.
What a lively farmers market! From fruits and vegetables, to alcohol, to dog food, this is the place to buy everything you need. I should also mention the impressive Sake variety they have here. The variety here is more than all LCBO Sake in Canada combined. You'll find Sake you will never find in Canada. A vast beer collection too. I recommend The Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout if you like dark beer.
