This is a review of the hotel NOT the restaurant. First the cost was $183.00 a night including taxes. The room was for the most part clean however dated. It was on the third floor. It was HOT AF up there with NO AC! It also smelled of what I would call, a sweaty teenager smell. The hot water in the shower seemed to come and go ! Granted I did take a little longer shower than I normally would. We were there for the Mt Hood 50 miler. So, with that being said I understand it's a small town and limited resources however it was not worth the price. The restaurant was very good with great service. Rooms: It smelled funny and was very HOT with no AC
Don't let the prices deter you from eating here, the portions are freaking huge! $9.50 for a bowl of clam chowder seems like a bit but it had to have been 4 cups of soups and 5 packs of saltines! Everything was a huge portion and was tasty. Bacon and eggs had a ginormous amount of hash browns and they were seasoned perfectly, straight from the grill. You have to try the huckleberry jam, they sell it too, so sweet and tasty! Do not miss out on this gem!!
My husband took us on a birthday drive to Government Camp, and we stopped at the Huckleberry Inn Restaurant for lunch. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day. My husband had the Reuben sandwich with tomato bisque. I had the BLT with fries, and our son had the kids pancake platter. The portions were huge, and everything was delicious. They were the best fries we've had in a long time. The decor is ski lodge all the way. Lots of wood and ski photos and trophies. Prices were reasonable for a resort town. A lovely place to eat.
Always a great stop when heading through the area. Hasn’t really changed since the first time I went some 30+ years ago. Expensive for what it is but lots oftoo much food. All the food is still good, especially the GIANT maple bars and donuts. Service is slow but it’s Govy, what’s to be expected. Shakes are great but expensive.Service: 3/5
I haven't been here for many, many years. Looks and feels like it did 40 years ago! Pastries still enormous, good for 2 days! Lady at counter is a sweetheart. I didn't stay at the hotel, but might give it a try in the future. It's usually a stop between Portland area and Bend area. Food & drinks: Great plates of food!
Would not recommend staying here. Walls were paper thin, I could hear everyone’s conversations through the walls. I had to make multiple noise complaints, didn’t get to sleep until midnight and was woken up again at 5am. I know that’s not the hotels fault though. Rooms had no A/C, no mini fridge or microwave, super uncomfortable beds, very old TV with limited channels. Wasn’t worth the $140 for the room, the food is insanely overpriced as well. Staff were nice and helpful though.
Great place to meet for lunch with the family. Such good food, and the Pie and Shakes will knock your socks off! The staff are awesome Service: 5/5
4 booths empty. Told to move out of our booth to the counter when the 2 of us wanted only Huckleberry shakes as it was lunch hour. Could have asked if we minded. I am 6' 7" so really didnt fit at counter. Shakes were now $11.00 each and pies were $36.75. Usually order 2 pies when we pass through. Not this time.Service: 2/5
Ment my family there the food was amazing. The staff so friendly. The pie The shakes omg Yummy! Will be back for sureService: 5/5
Service was prompt and friendly. Food was served quickly and fresh, though a bit pricey. The cherry pie was horrible. Our biggest complaint was the overwhelming odor of Marijuana from our server.
