Hyde Park Brewing has a great decor and clean look. The staff was accommodating and we were served in a timely manner. The beers were on average pretty good and my guests were all pretty happy with their food except for me the burgers got good reviews.. There are a couple of things I did not like: I ordered the pasta pomodoro with chicken extra 5 dollars for the chicken. Which I wouldn’t mind paying if the chicken wasn’t dry I have a feeling the chicken was just reheated in a microwave... the prosciutto was also very thick. For the 27 dollars for chicken and pasta would be fine if the plate was delicious; however I found it underwhelming and a little diner like normal pasta, bland parm cheese and wierd prosciutto. The fries were good... the buffalo calamari was over cooked.. I loved seeing the tables outside and I wish there was more seating available outside. The bar is stunning. The amount of different items on their menu is maybe too much.. they would do better if they lowered their amount of food offerings and focused on their good dishes. See attached photos
Great menu and our choices for the evening were very tasty. Our server, Brian, was very attentive to my girlfriend's gluten free needs. Their hefeweizen beer and the apple ginger cider from a local cidery we're really good.
Went to this establishment last night and each time I go I wonder why I dont go more. The food here is dynamite and service always given with a smile. Pictured here is parmiango fries, garlic perm wings and pizza. Our server Alex was terrific and Ryan who serves and cleans was a very friendly man.
Stopped by after a llama/alpaca hike for lunch. The pulled pork mac+cheese was slamming. Cheese was very gooey. You get a choice of BBQ sauce, go with the "wet mop"! Burgers were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Don't pass up on the garlic parm fries. Service was great, especially Val behind the bar. Great visit!
Good drink and nice staff. I had "The Smoking Teddy". Its a little dryer than I thought it would be so I'd try something else next time
I've been going here for years now and it always amazes me how good the food is. The pulled pork Mac and cheese is a phenomenal dish. Last time I ordered it , it was so good I finished it all!! Will always return to this amazing restaurant.
Love Hyde Park Brewery! Great food, awesome drinks, friendly staff! Highly suggest the "detox collins" and the "ginger lime rickey."
I am not a cheap person, but this was ridiculous. $16 for a kid sized burger for an adult is over the top. It was tasty but overpriced. Could have gotten an equally good burger at a dinner for $11. $15.00 for a mixed drink? $10.00 for a warm cookie with ice cream. Really, Hyde Park is not in in NYC last I checked. COVID trained me to have no desire to go out to dinner and. this place just sealed the deal. This is one place I will not return to.
EDIT: on March 8, I emailed the restaurant as they requested. It is now March 19 and they have yet to respond to my email. Food is ok. Overpriced. Beer is actually pretty good. The reason for 2 stars is my experience at dinner on March 5, 2022. There was some kind of emergency in the bathroom- both men and womens room. The employees refused to let anyone into the bathrooms. Did not post any notices on the doors… only stood in front of me and blocked access. Did not give me any reason why I could not use it. Continued to block bathroom access to all other patrons as well. While bathrooms are out of order, the restaurant continued to seat patrons and serve people. IF ALL YOUR BATHROOMS ARE OUT OF ORDER, CLOSE YOUR RESTAURANT. Money grabbers
I sort of remember this place being great when I used to live in Hyde Park many years ago, but things are not the same. the waitress seems to be annoyed that she had a table, I had to eat my entire meal without a beverage refill, the food was hideous and they had no heat on anywhere in the restaurant in February. Will not return.
