Ever since I can remember, I've despised following the rules. Most rules are in place because someone, a long time ago, believed that everyone needed to live a certain way. Well, I'm calling bullshit!
In order to thrive, every single one of us has different rules that we need to follow. Like what time we need to wake up to feel our best, what foods give us as much energy as possible, and how we enjoy interacting with others to feel nourished.
The problem begins when you start to follow certain rules without being curious if they help you flourish. Then you create patterns and habits around said rules that stay with you for months and years. And before you know it you feel stagnant, complacent, and totally uninspired by the life that you live.
