Richard Sadler M.D. FACS is a private practice surgeon and leading vein doctor in Davenport, Iowa. He is currently Board Certified in General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine. Actively practicing adult Thoracic and Vascular surgery, he focuses special attention on diseases of the Aorta, Peripheral arteries, Lung and Veins.
For the last 10 years, Dr. Sadler has championed the Thoracic Oncology Program (TOP) at Genesis Medical center. He is an active member and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He routinely speaks before professional organizations on these various clinical topics.
His work as a vein specialist began as an attending surgeon at the Hyperbaric and Wound center. The severe disability and chronicity of these vein diseases prompted Dr. Sadler to investigate those therapies that are more innovative than traditional medical care. Since coming to that revelation, Dr. Sadler started a separate clinic called Iowa Vein Care. Utilizing VNUS closure, stripping, stab phlebectomy, and injection sclerotherapy, a comprehensive care plan can be provided for each patient. With modern Ultrasound imaging, most procedures are performed under local anesthesia in the office.
