Came here today for dinner, we ordered a New York Strip and a Sirloin. Both steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare. The sirloin had great flavor, but was pretty chewy. The strip was decent. My biggest complaint is the sides.. the vegetables were bland and under cooked and mashed potatoes were bland. The chicken tortellini soup was great, I can’t remember the other soup we ordered but it wasn’t our favorite and wouldn’t order again. Love that they bring fresh bread and butter. Service was wonderful. Prices were reasonable. Overall we would definitely come back here, but it probably wouldn’t be my first choice.
This review is for the French Onion soup. Plentiful, tasty with overflowing crispy cheese was the best I've had in a long time. The large bowl has enough soup to practically be a meal in itself. Will definitely be back to enjoy again!
I just left Jameson's in Arlington Heights after having lunch with 24 other ladies. I generally feel the food and service are excellent, but today was a very different experience. The waiters were not courteous at all. They never smiled or said please or thank you. We waited quite a while for our food, which was just ok. One friend ordered the French onion soup, which she said had little flavor. Another friend ordered salmon, which was dry. I ordered the chopped salad which was just as expensive as other meals but did not come with soup. That was a let-down. But now - for the reason I am only giving it 2 stars: I had a disagreement with the owner/manager when it came to accepting a new gift receipt for $40 and a $2.73 balance receipt from another time when my gift card exceeded my bill. The manager was extremely belligerent and refused to honor either of my receipts or believe me. He made me feel as though I was trying to pull a fast one. He said I was being disrespectful to him but He was very disrespectful to me, the customer. Our "conversation" became heated, and we both raised our voices, though he failed to admit that he was behaving badly. When I said I would not be coming back to the restaurant, he said "That's Ok. I don't care." When I told him I no longer wanted to discuss the matter and tore up the $2.73 receipt, he further insulted me. Other ladies at the table were very upset with his behavior/attitude as well. A few of us said we would not return to Jameson's. Apparently, they don't care anyway. There are plenty of other fine restaurants in the area where patrons are treated in a respectful and friendly manner and whose business is appreciated. The only person who was friendly and professional was the one waitress who served some of the tables. But really - Shame on this owner who thinks he can talk down to a customer and treat them in such a manner as to ruin the entire lunch experience. So for $2.73 was it really worth it to lose me or others as a customer in the future?
Jameson's generally doesn't disappoint. The drinks are tasty and not watered down and the food is pretty good. On this visit, I went for the lollipop lamb chops, medium rare, which were spectacular. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyoneFood: 5/5
$$ Great Black n Blue burger! Decent prices. Less expensive than Squire next door. Which i found interesting... New on menu Chipotle Shrimp tacos. Each meal came with soup too. Service was on point.
We visited this location after a few years being away. The place is very clean and staff is extremely friendly. Currently they are short on staff so service was a bit slow but no complaints here and I am rating them 5 stars. They have martinis, wine and a lot of beers on draft. All the food was great and we want to come back soon since there are more menu items we want to try. It was a Tuesday night and the place was busy, it was good to see!
This place was really good! We went mother's day weekend and the wait wasn't bad at all. Really cozy and clean inside. I had a pepper crusted steak which was delicious. We will be back!
The French onion soup was very salty & my mushroom burger was not appetizing whatsoever looked delicious but wasn't tasteful. My husband got a bacon cheeseburger he didn't care for & cream of chicken rice soup it was very bland. The staff was very nice the food was slow getting to us. We arrived an hour after they opened. I don't think we'll be going back!
Every time I’ve been here it’s been a wonderful experience. And the food is always been delicious and the drinks are great as well. The cost is pretty good considering it’s a steakhouse. A great choice whether it’s a Dinner for two or a party.Food: 5/5
Filets were SOOOO tender. Delicious. But the show stopper was without a doubt the Tiramisu Martini...oh.myyyy. A must have...and a will bring me back. Atmosphere was stellar, service was professional, my company was perfection but you can't duplicate that all in all a wonderful evening. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
