Kenwoodview Health and Rehabilitation

I’ve had amazing training so far. They don’t leave you alone to learn like most facilities. The nurses are amazing and don’t make you feel like an idiot for asking a question. The administration is always there to help, which I haven’t seen at a care facility in a very long time.

Worst facility I’ve ever been in!!! Staff was great. But the social services lady was absolutely HORRIBLE. Do not bring your family members there while she’s there. She is even worse in the public. Unprofessional is a complete understatement.

Kenwood has an awesome new HVAC system now! They can control the climate for their room themselves now. Therapy has been wonderful. I have seen many improvements over the last month

I know that the facility is dedicated to the people who live there and work there. Kenwood View is resident centered and continually strives to be the best provider in the Salina area. I have referred people to Kenwood view for placement and also for employment. Recently my Mother-In -Law was there for a short term rehab stay. They had a refrigerator in her room with things she desired, they also had a beautiful bed set on her bed which made it feel more like a home. She had no complaints about the care she received. She was very pleased and that pleased me. I started taking students to Kenwood View for clinical instruction a couple years ago. The experiences they get at Kenwood View are always beneficial to their education. The nurses at Kenwood View are very thorough and have been excellent teachers. The DON has been there for years and is dedicated to making sure things are done appropriately. I always feel comfortable with the staff and they answer any questions I have. I will continue to use this facility as a learning environment for nursing students. I have also referred another instructor there and I know she plans to bring students from Fort Riley to the facility for training.

Not clean at all. Don’t work with the patients. The place is falling in. The AC don’t work they just have fans going. It is very hot and uncomfortable in there. If you talk to the staff about an issue/ care of my mom then they have an excuse all the time we have a concern. Things like she needs a bath, pills are all over the floor…which means she is not getting her medicine. The dirty bed sheets, dinner tray from night before still in her room around 830am the next day. All the staff say is sorry we are short staffed. I’m sorry but that is not an answer.

This facility is totally ran by the amazing team, from the Administrator to the CNA'S, that is 100% committed to outstanding care. The place is immaculate day and night. Plus they treat each patient and their families with total respect and caring. I work for a Home Health and Hospice company so have visited many facilities and none has ever come close to being this good. I cannot say enough about how great this facility is! GREAT JOB TEAM KENWOOD!!!!!! 8/11/2021- I still can’t say enough amazing things about this team! My sister has been here on hospice. They have gone above and beyond to ensure she was cared for and that our entire family was comfortable.

I toured a number of facilities prior to Kenwood View and found that this is the best of the best for my family member. The director was very helpful and thorough. The staff is very educated, friendly and helpful. The facility is clean, decorated nicely, and halls are wide and quiet. There are many activities and comforts for the residents. The food was delicious. One could see that great care was given to the preparation and presentation of the meals. The rooms are nicely appointed and well arranged. I feel that this is a place which meets the needs of many seniors with all levels of needs and glad we chose this facility.

I had the best experience visiting a friend while she stayed at Kenwood View following her surgery. I wasn’t sure where to go when I first got there and a lovely, young lady name Dolcey helped me out. She very kindly walked me to my friends room rather than telling and pointing where it was. The facility looked so nice and clean and didn’t have the typical antiseptic smell most hospitals do. My friend commented how well she was being treated and cared for during her stay. She said the nurses and techs were all very helpful and came right when she called. She even said she enjoyed the food, which is unheard of at most places. While taking a walk around to help my friend get her exercise, we came across a wonderful nurse named Tandi. My friends face lit up when she saw her and Tandi came right up and hugged us both. She was so kind to stop and see how we both were doing and kept encouraging my friend to keep striving to get better. She took the time to answer my questions regarding my friends care and how we could keep her progressing in a safe manner. I will admit, I will ask to be sent here if I ever need a place to be sent for rehab. Keep up the good work Kenwood View!

My Grandma currently resides in the long-term care side of Kenwood, and my family has been severely disappointed. My grandma has dementia and limiting disability, and her quality of life is not the best, but despite this she deserves more. My mother is her POA, and she can't even tell me the names of the Administration or DON. She has told me that the Social Worker does not return phone calls, and does not take responsibility when my mom has voiced some concerns about my Grandma's care. I have worked as a charge nurse and CNA for Good Samaritan Soceity, and as a hospice RN - and I can tell you without a doubt, there are better facilities with standards being met. If Kenwood view is the best facility Salina has to offer then the whole town needs a "wake up call." Also, the positive reviews from former or current employees are not fooling anyone. I can't speak to the outcomes of the rehab facility. So good on them if they are making strides getting rehab patients back on their feet. Just know if I had the money my Grandma would live anywhere but here.

DO NOT send any of your loved ones here. The staff has no idea what's going on with their patients, there's CONSTANT miscommunication, patients are rarely checked on and accommodation is non existent. The staff did not even know my family members name after she was there for 12 hours. You cannot trust anyone that works here. The staff was ignorant and shockingly uneducated. If you signal a nurse from your room you can expect to be waiting an absurd amount of time. There is zero organization. Pam, one of the nurses, disregards all patient needs and does not respect family memebers, let alone the patients. On top of all that, the facility is disgusting. There is a complete lack of compassion. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
