I have worked in the mental health field since 2010. As a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and a former police officer, I am sensitive to the issues relating to first responders, military deployment and the effects those circumstances have on individuals and their families.
Prior to establishing my private practice with Sandstone Bridge Center in 2014, I worked at Central Kansas MHC providing outpatient therapy for three years. My expertise includes working with all ages but particularly young children and trauma survivors. I have completed a 50- hour EMDR training through the Maiberger Institute, an EMDRIA provider; I have advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and attachment-based play therapy techniques.
