Knapp Medical Center opened in Weslaco in 1962, and is a 227 bed not-for-profit hospital that serves a city and rural population of more than 175,000 people.
More than 220 physicians, all independent professional practitioners, serve on the Knapp Medical Staff. Knapp employs approximately 1,000 people and provides volunteer opportunities for more than 250 people.
