The massage therapists are amazing and the facility is beautiful. Unfortunately, when you are paying a premium price the attention to detail is not there. I was at the Spa on 8/10 with friends. I informed the attendants that the sauna was not working. They did check and said they reset it. Unfortunately, it never got hot. When I took a shower, there was no shampoo or body shower gel in the containers. I did inform the front desk at check out and was not provided an apology or any form of compensation. My bill was over $1000 and the customer service was just not there regarding the amenities.
This place gives the worst pedicure I've even had and it cost $80. I'm rating this only on the the pedicure. Did not even have the tools to take off no chip polish. Then left half the no chip polish on and I couldn't get the color I wanted because it wouldn't cover the old stuff. Nails were uneven and the whole experience was so minimal. The worst! But....there amenities are great and so is the massage. I give the massage and amenities a five star. Just don't go here expecting a nice pedicure. If you want to go to enjoy the amenities and relax, the pedicure would do. But it is minimal.
After a stressful couple of days, I needed some spa love so being 15 minutes away from this location was key. Being here for the 1st time, I had a 3:30p appointment for a 50 minute massage. I was escorted to the men's locker room which was clean and nice. It wasn't super big but sufficient. Before I left I did take a shower here and it was nice as there were 3 different shower heads to take a shower so that was nice. I'm sorry I don't remember the masseuse's name but it was a very relaxing massage. She did ask what areas did she want to focus on and I mentioned my calves were sore. She did focus on it so that was nice. I felt relaxed as she did a great job. Afterward I went to the relaxation area to have some tea and chill. There were a group of two ladies talking a little loudly which stunk. Kohler makes you sign a paper to maintain a quiet demeanor while there. Then about 10 minutes later, some women to the right of me were chatting it up as well. I was a little annoyed so I went to put on my swim trunks and check out the amenities of the steam room and pool. First the steam room was nice but I did not smell and eucalyptus as advertised. Maybe it was a faint scent but usually I have a good sniffer for that. Afterwards, I hit the plunge pool which was nice at 8 feet. Then onto the pool with it's waterfall and jets. That was nice but what wasn't nice was as I was sitting in the pool for 30 minutes, towels were draped/laid on about 8 chairs. Going to the American Club location, that would never fly. Also there was a woman to emptied out the bin of towels but left the ones on the chairs. It looked messy. Finally I went back for more tea in the relaxation room and fast forward 10 minutes and there were about 3 women in the pool area chatting it up. It was annoying. I just wish this location was more diligent and ask the guests to shhhhh. That shouldn't fall on the patrons to do that. I tried it and i'm good not going to this location moving forward.
Excellent extremely professional experience. Susan was my massage therapist she was awesome and very accommodating to my back issues. The entire facility & staff are amazing and you will not want to leave. The perfect day of relaxation.
First time here! Been to WI many times! Services were amazing! Loved the water area, two types of saunas, and the different areas to relax! Got a yummy salad for lunch! Wednesdays are 20% off, so even better. No pics because we locked up our phones. Five hours phonemes does wonders for aiding relaxation!!
Super relaxing environment & friendly staff. Wanda gave me the best massage!! And Elana gave an amazing facial & made me feel very comfortable. I'll definitely be treating myself to more Kohler Spa days.
My husband and I went here for our 10th wedding anniversary. I enjoyed the amenities and services we RECEIVED. However, I could tell something was bothering my husband. He said he was upset because when making the reservation on his initial call he mentioned to the woman that he would like a manicure and pedicure, a massage and whatever other services they offer. The woman said okay. Then my husband received a call a few days later explaining that they wouldn’t be able to do the mani & pedi and apologized. My husband said okay and asked again making sure that we were scheduled for basically all the other services they offer. The woman related she understood. Upon our arrival, we were both met by our massage therapists and brought into our rooms that were joined with a sliding door on the inside for a couples massage. The massage itself was so calming and relaxing. The pressure used was perfect. Both of the massage therapists were quiet as they moved our grabbed items necessary to complete the massage. There were techniques used that I’ve never felt before. It was great! Following it massage we were bright into the changing rooms and given a locker. I wasn’t sure of what else my husband was planning for our time at Kohler spa so I stayed in my robe and met him in the quiet lounging area. We then decided to go into the pool area and take a cold plunge and then relax in the hot water. My husband seemed a slightly confused because he wasn’t sure if we were expecting “more” from our time there or if we were done with all of our services. We both lounged in the quiet area, changed and then left. My husband was extremely disappointed with the lack of services provided given he mentioned twice to the receptionist what he was looking for and somehow even after they canceled our mani/pedi they didn’t think again to offer further services which was requested on both calls. Very unfortunate that this was our first time experience and it was our 10th wedding anniversary. We attempted reservations before and were canceled due to Covid shutting the establishment down. We still attempted a visit and were very displeased with the receptionist and the services offered.
Highly recommend this spa. Nice menu of services to choose from, beautiful spa, friendly staff, and great amenities. Come in for your scheduled service, but allow time to enjoy the café and stay and use the amenities. You WILL be back! This is one of my favorite places to go!
Seriously, one of the best spas in the Chicagoland area. The staff is superb and the amenities are top-notch. I love the Vichy treatments. Highly recommend for friends or couples spa day.
My first time coming to Kohler spa in Burr Ridge with my daughter. The massage I will give a 5; it was amazing. The locker room is small and at 1 PM on a Wednesday, it was crowded. The main reason for the 3 stars is the amount of talking that disrupted the tranquility I was hoping for. Ladies talking on their cell phone as well as just plain being annoying and rude on this aspect. Most couldn’t even whisper amongst themselves, it was almost yelling over the sound of the water in the plunge pool area. There should be an employee monitoring this; this place has a lot of potential to be a 5 star experience.
