I cannot give zero stars. I am a registered nurse working in Kokomo Indiana. A friend was in the hospital and required rehabilitation before returning home. She has been placed in KHC rather rapidly before we could properly evaluate the place. It has been a mistake. Proper care has not been given. Safety is only available because we are watching carefully and have contacted the Health Department and even had the police department assure that her oxygen requirements are met.   If properly trained staff and administration  is eventually placed in this facility someday it may return to a viable healthcare option but this is not today. The facility will no doubt recognize who we are , we are trying to make home care arrangements for our friend. As an RN,  I care for more than my own so feel the need to make a review. Please assure your friends and family are safe and God bless you all.

The Physical Therapy at this place is good. The Nursing aspect is HORRENDOUS. The administrative staff of the Nursing side does not take information from family members with much consideration. Lisa, The Director of Nursing and the Lead Administrator over the facility are incompetent at best. If you have no care for your loved ones then you won't mind how awful it is. If you do care, look to Wellbrooke for a facility that listens to family and actually communicates. Wellbrooke will put together a comprehensive care plan and love on your family member. Kokomo Healthcare does zero in any planning and ignore any change in a patient, putting patients at risk!

My husband has been here since June 7th. He was previously at another facility that I was not impressed by. The staff at Kokomo Healthcare have been very helpful, patient and kind. The nurses always take the time to answer my questions and concerns. They respond promptly to my husband’s needs. I also appreciate the support I’ve received as wife/caregiver to access additional resources. The food is really good too!

My brother in law is there and says the food is terrible and the service by one of the employees was very rude. Totally uncalled for. If your not in healthcare to help people then get out! I'm in healthcare and the day I act like that will be my last.

My grandmother stayed here for a while, and she loved the employees. She was treated very kindly, and was there for the short-term rehab. She said she hopes she doesn't need to stay in a facility like this again, but if she has to, she would stay at Kindred of Kokomo.

This facility doesn’t answer the phone. It rings and rings and then I get disconnected. I have been calling to speak with my brother for months now and I barely can get through to talk to him.  I do not understand why no one answers the phone and then when I do get someone I am put on hold and forgot about. I then have to call again for the same thing to happen over and over again for the last three months. This is unacceptable!!  I am thousand of miles away and this is extremely upsetting for him and for me that we cannot communicate on a regular bases.

Nurse Kevin holds pain medications from patients. State tagged them 18 times nothing was done. Patients miss their doc appts bc nurses don't care to even put it on the calendar when the doctors office called MULTIPLE TIMES TO REMIND THE NURSE. Cnas practically run the place, doing their jobs plus the nurses while the nurses sit and do nothing

My family member was cared for well. We were kept informed of any changes and staff really took the time to make sure that my family member felt at home. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needed care.

Would not reccomend! I am very ashamed and embarrassed to say I've worked here. I regret coming to work here! This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had! The residents are great,  management not so much!!!!

This place is horrible...they did not care for my mother the way her doctors orderd her room was filthy there was one cleaning lady who actually cleaned piss was left on her room floor for days I have pictures to prove it..the food was not only horrible but down right not eatable...I even had to pay for medical supplies numerous times because they said they ordered it but yet she never received her meds if it wasn't for me going in to clean and care for my mother it wouldn't have gotten done at all I provided her meals her care I gave her her baths cleaned her room myself it was the only way things got done my mother went to the bathroom on herself several times because the kids wouldn't answer her call light and get her to the bathroom...not once in two and a half months did they wash her laundry or change her bedding ...we have actually cried seeing how other people here were not being taking care of I seen patients cry in pain asking for their pain meds and it wasn't given to them for hours...I wouldn't let this place care for my dog all alone a human...
