I've been with Dr. Lad for 20 + years. My three teenagers and I are incredibly grateful for Lad family dentistry. I used to be deathly afraid of visiting the dentist. I had horrible dental health. Dr. Lad has been very patient and gentle with me. Now he is absolutely great with our teens. They have never been to pediatric dentists. There is no need! Dr. Lad and Dr. Sunjay Lad always do a great job caring for us. Their hygienists are also very personable and kind. I can't recommend them enough!
Friendly staff, modern and clean facilities, and very knowledgeable, patient, and experienced father-and-son dentist duo! We always have a pleasant experience at Lad Dentistry and are well taken care of by a very efficient and professional team.
I and my husband used to own Cakery Bakery in La Canada. Dr. Lad and his wife were our customers. After our dentist retired and after 3 years that we have been in retirement we found Dr. Lad again. We drive about an hr to get to his office but even if he moves to northern California we are still going to him. We can't be any happier with his entire office. Great people. Very knowledgeble too.
This was my second visit with Dr. Sunjay Lad. I had my first visit in October of 2022 so this was my six month cleaning. Upon arrival, everyone is always very friendly there. I like the staff. I had my teeth cleaned with Olga. She asked me if I had any pain or presenting complaints. I told her last time in October I had some sensitivity in one of my bottom right teeth like the first molar. She said it could just be a sensitivity issue but she checked it out and she began cleaning. She said nothing stood out to her. As she was cleaning, she started on the bottom right. She was a little rough. A few times she rinsed my mouth and suction and it was pretty normal. She then went to the left side, did her thing, then came back to the bottom right side. She was cleaning and I felt a very small piece of something in my mouth. I thought it was a piece of an almond I had almonds earlier in the morning, gross. She rinsed my mouth again with the water and oh my god - it hurt so bad. Immediately, the sensitive area hurt so bad it was almost unbearable. I told her. She stood up, looked at my chart and said "oh looks like a filling came out or you have a chipped tooth." I asked her if she picked the filling out when she was cleaning on accident and she said, "nooo. I did not." I said, it just started being this sensitive in this moment. She said "oh it's the water." A why would it barely become THAT sensitive in that moment? B why would you barely be telling me that about 10-15 minutes in if it was out the whole time? C How did it chip/fall out before the exam and neither you nor I noticed from the time you started? D It was something I mentioned when I first arrived so upon your exam, it should've stood out to you if there was really something wrong there. She finished cleaning and told me that she didn't have a mirror or camera for me to look at my mouth but for sure she said she didn't do it. Dr. Sunjay Lad came over to examine my teeth. He told me that I needed a filling on the bottom right tooth. I told him what happened and he said "oh, your teeth are just sensitive. it is really cold water." I reiterated to him that I thought she knocked out my filling and he avoided the question/comment. At this point, I was really frustrated. I went to check out and the office desk lady whose name I don't remember right now but she is super nice so I'm sorry quoted me $555 for 2 fillings.so $277.50 each. If I needed these fillings because they weren't filled previously, I would completely understand it. But, not even taking ownership or offering any resolution and really just ignoring the root of the problem was really a bad feeling for myself. I felt like no one believed me as a patient or human and I had no trust left for this office so I declined the fillings and found a different spot to do them. I mean, at the end of the day, my first experience here was great. The staff is very friendly and nice. However, Olga is not truthful and they seem to not believe their patients. I went home and looked in the mirror at my tooth and there was a huge hole in my tooth where my filling was. It was definitely not there the previous day or even the morning of. I will not be returning. I am extremely disappointed.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have Dr. Lad as my dentist. He is exceptional in every single aspect of his dental practice. I have extremely high standards and expectations of all of my doctors and Dr. Lad is among the best of the best. I would recommend him to all of my friends and family with no hesitation. Just to give you an idea of how much I love this dentist… I relocated to San Diego about 1 year ago. San Diego is a solid 2 hour drive into Temple City. Nevertheless, I managed to find a way to continue seeing Dr. Lad while living in San Diego. He is the ONLY doctor who I made this exception for, since San Diego has an abundance of highly qualified healthcare professionals. One final thing worth mentioning. I have periodontal disease which requires a higher level of expertise and gentleness when being treated by a general dentist. I have always had an extremely pleasant experience with Dr. Lad and all of his hygienists.
I have been a patient here over 12 years now and I have never been disappointed. Eventually my whole family come here. Even when they stopped taking our dental insurance, we still come here because of their services and professionalism. Both Drs. Lad are very nice and easy to talk to. Their hygienists are great too, always take their time. I have to especially shout out to Danielle who is our favorite. But seriously, all of the staffs are great.
Could not be happier to have found this dental office. The staff are professional, friendly, prompt, and attentive. Dr. Lad is kind and patient, taking time to explain his observations and discussing his suggested treatment plan. He made sure any and all questions were answered. I never felt rushed and he was very thorough. It is such a relief to know that my family and I will be in good hands here. I strongly recommend this office. Thank you!
I always have great experience at this office. Dr. Lad is excellent with what he does. His office is clean and comfortable. And his staffs are super friendly & helpful. I'll definitely recommend this office for all your dental works.
My First Appointment and Meeting with Dr Chiman Lad, of Lad Family Dentistry in Temple City, went very well. His state of the art diagnostics, Photo Equipment and Visuals to assist me in understanding what I needed and why- were wonderful, and gave me great reassurance about what I Intuitively knew I needed. His whole approach and methodical, organized, Systematic approach- to the Plan for my Dental care, gave me great reassurance and confidence that all the fine things I had heard about Dr Lad were indeed accurate and well placed! His Years of experience and work are acknowledged by his colleagues at USC School of Dentistry, this- spanning a few decades! I am Quite Confident and have peace of mind in his judgement and approach, and I look forward to his work, on the treatment plan he has most comprehensively covered. At Lad Dentistry, they make the dentist visit as easy and comfortable as possible. The whole staff is kind, professional and competent. I have been pleased with all the services I received by them. Olga did a gentle, but thorough teeth cleaning. You can feel experience and confidence in her technique. The facility is well equipped with Covid prevention methods, including high-tech air purifiers. This helps make me feel well protected and cared for. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone needing a great dentist!
