North Shore Park on 900-acre Lake Bastrop has features to appeal to campers, anglers and nature lovers. A boat ramp with a boat dock and fishing pier provide fishing and access for water-based recreation. There are also picnic areas that include tables, grills, a sand volleyball court, tetherball courts and a play area. Rest rooms and showers are available for park visitors.

First visit with a two night stay in our motor home. Took our six year old on his first kayak adventure. Beautiful park. Water was great. Wind was a little strong, but we really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely be back. Just an hour drive from home so a great trip to tire out a grandson!
Clean, safe, very nice setting. 15 or 20 full hookup spots, 6. Airstream trailers set up for rent, and glamping cabins. Airstreams go for $225 per night, two night minimum. RV spots go for 40 off season 44 high season.
Beautiful view wonderful sunrise clean location Make sure you bring a cart much easier to bring you belongings We have been to different glamping before this location is not too busy so that’s very nice and quiet Bathroom and shower are nice Bring your fishing pole You can also go swimming in the lake
One of our favorite places. Nice view. You can swim, fish, BBQ, etc. Clean restrooms. Staff was very pleasant. Great place to spend the day. Restrooms: Very clean. Dog-friendliness: We took our dogs and they had a blast. Picnic area: Many benches. Areas were clean.
Very nice park, large spaces and all are full hookups. Nice trails and nice views.
Worst camping experience of my life and I went through SERE in the military. The sites are nice and well kept but no staff is around after 8pm and they dont have any way to be contacted after that. There were kids screaming at the top.of their lungs all night well past midnight. I could hear them clearly over ear plugs. There were multiple parties raging and the park makes it very clear that quiet hours is after 10 pm. This is a big deal because these are tents with no sound barrier.I wish I could leave an audio recording with a timestamp on this review to show just how ridiculous it was. This is suppose to be a relaxing experience in nature and honestly it would have been more relaxing to camp in my back yard at home which has a rail line and a 10 lane interstate 1/4 mile away and that's not an exaggeration whatsoever. For almost 250$ a night this is just unacceptable, I will never be back and will ensure others are aware of this experience when I get back.
We checked out of our rented airstream this morning and were sad to leave. We rented it for 3 nights but after the first night added an additional night! It was the best camping of my life! Especially with two young children. The airstream made it so easy! The free canoe rental that came with the airstream was so much fun! The nature was incredible and the staff was phenomenal! There were so many I can't even name them all. They were amazing hosts and made us feel like we were at a five star resort! The entire park and airstream were spotless. It was such a treat for the whole family!
I always love it here. Great place for the view and reflection during the week. I enjoy having a meal next to the lake. They have a great selection of activities. Very family friendly.
I loved this place. Was able to fish, wade water, walk the area and even take my kayak out. Small and quiet place. Highly recommend.
Love this park. Camping in RV for 10 days now - conveniently located but remote & full of nature. Marina, fishing pier, playground for day use. FHU & partial hookup as well as primitive camping waterside.
