I had to bring my daughter in because she was having a lot pain that isn’t normal with pregnancy. Well I have my granddaughter with me and they told us she wasn’t allowed back in the room. What if it was just the 2 of them would they refuse to see my daughter until someone picked up my granddaughter?!?
4 years ago went in with Pneumonia. This was during covid and no family member could enter. I was put on a ventilator and sedated my entire stay. The hospital called my wife recommended she put me in Hospice and she refused. I had been on the ventilator for 40 days and they told my wife they didn’t have the people or time to get me off the ventilator. That they needed my bed and she could move me to a nursing home In Georgia who excepts people on ventilators. The hospital had decided I was going to die. My wife had me moved to Connerton Hospital. This hospital remove the ventilator Lakeland Regional Put on me. I was on the ventilator close to 50 days and Lakeland Regional Hospital only offered me death,
Nurse Misty Keiffer has no sense of empathy. My baby was hospitalized there for 3 days and I had a terrible experience with her. I would expect nurses would have integrity and a sense of humanity to deal with critical situations. My baby was intensive care in pediatrics and she was not nice at all.
I wish I had seen these ratings before I started getting care here. Heed the warnings..... My story - I need treatment once a month. The first two years-ish was great. Sign in, do labs, see Dr, get treatment, go home. Then one day they refused my treatment because I had a balance on my account. I'm not sure how. Maybe they forgot to ask me for my co-pay when I signed in? I talked to my Dr. and she said she would speak to the board. The Dr. told the board that I am not getting life saving treatment because of a few dollars. No change. I will not get the treatment until the balance is zero. Either way, I paid it and got treatment. A few months later, they refused treatment again. Same reason. I had a balance of less than $2.00 and they refused life saving treatment. It only got worse and I could go on but I hope I've made my point. I'm not sure where patient care is on their list, but they have proven that it falls well below finance. Edit: When I reached out to another provider to transfer my care to them, they asked that I request records to be sent from LRMC. Well that should be easy. I stopped in and signed the release form. I asked LRMC to send it three times. All three times the new provider states they have not received anything.
My grandfather is currently being lied to and neglected by staff members - being told a specialist is coming to see him, and then no one shows up. They then proceed to act surprised when hearing this magical doctor has yet to show face. He is starving, while staff members chit chat away in nooks and crannies of the floor he's staying on. He has been there 3 days, and they have yet to do anything except feed him pain meds through his IV. How very American.
It’s very disheartening to see how little they care about people here. You’ll hear more about gossip in the hallways than you will about your own problems/symptoms. Be prepared for a very long wait time regardless of the emergency. Quickest you’ll get a room is about 2 hours and that’s when they barely have patients. I’m 21 weeks pregnant, came in for sudden dizziness and racing heart and they treated me like a waste of space. Put me in a room and took my blood pressure and did blood work. Left the trash from the blood work on top of me. They listened to the baby and didn’t clean up the gel…just left it there and I didn’t notice until I went to the bathroom. After 2 hours of waiting on my blood work I asked them what’s the ETA and the nurse told me they lost my blood work and looking for it….excuse me???? Not only did I NOT talk to a single doctor but you lost my blood work and didn’t say anything??? So unprofessional. So lazy. So disappointing. A person could collapse and die here and they wouldn’t blink an eye. These nurses are only there for a check and it shows. What a lousy excuse for healthcare.
My daughter was here for 8 days last month. Overall, we had a good experience. I do feel that had the GI dr listened to us to begin with, her stay could've been shorter. She had really good nurses, especially Victoria on night shift. She took the time to get my daughter comfortable with her. Only real complaints are we had one nurse who was very impatient and cold and her initial dme prescription was done incorrectly causing us to not get all of her supplies. The social workers Mia and Tiffany have done a great job getting things straightened out though.
This is not a hospital you want to go to unless it's an absolute emergency. I brought my Mother here when she had vertigo and the nurses and doctors were rude, abrupt and completely unprofessional. I have never seen such unprofessional conduct by professional level individuals. I made the mistake of letting my Mother stay over night. She didn't get her medication and the staff yelled at her when she requested the medication she brought with her from her private physician. I am seriously considering suing this shoddy institution and it's practices. I picked my Mother up and took her to ORMC in Orlando. Do not leave your loves ones here. Another point is that people were crying from the psyche ward outside that had been kicked out into the streets. Very cruel....
My dad had a 99% blockage in his LAD artery known as the widow maker and the staff didn't even hesitate, saw what was wrong took him back, stent, and took his first steps after such a major heart attack the next morning! He doesn't stop praising these ladies and gentlemen for being "on it", he's still there but plans to be out tomorrow. I hope staff gets this, THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY DAD! Here's a picture of the nurses cheering him on for his first walk! Show me another hospital with staff that has this kind of care, I'll wait.
Firstly, the hospital's wait time was completely unacceptable. Making you wait for 5 hours to be seen by a medical professional is a clear indication of poor management and a lack of respect for patients' time and well-being. It's concerning that they didn't provide any explanation or apology for the excessive wait time. Additionally, the lack of attention given to your condition once you were finally seen is unacceptable. 25 minutes is hardly enough time for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. It's possible that the hospital staff rushed through your treatment, and this could potentially have had negative impacts on your health outcomes. Overall, it's clear that this hospital's level of care is not up to par. The wait time and treatment provided were inadequate, and it's concerning that they don't seem to value their patients' health and time. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone seeking quality medical care.
