if you’re planning on getting allergy shots here, go anywhere else in the world. department is a mess and will have you come in for appointments and when you see a nurse they’ll tell you they can’t give you your shot today then everyone’s time is wasted. would have been great to know that i wouldn’t be able to get my shot before i rearranged my schedule for an appointment.
3 times I have gone to Strong West for lab work. 3 times it has not happened - too busy. This morning I tried to check in at 1022 AM and was told not enough time before they close for lunch. 3 people waiting. 1022 AM. Not enough time before lunch. Ridiculous.
We recently brought our 11 year old daughter here for the first time for out patient surgery. We’ve always normally gone to Sawgrass. Due to her extensive medical history I had spoken to *several* people the week before her procedure to get a plan for my daughter because of her anxiety. Long story short, we get there and no one has any clue about any plans, nor do they care to hear me talk about it. I kept my cool 100% only to protect my daughters mental health, but I was beyond mad! The nurse we had was just ok. Didn’t seem like a nurse that works with children at all. The anesthesiologist **refused** to be discreet around my daughter about her medical care as to not add to her anxiety, listen to me, or not be loud and obnoxious. She was by far the worst anesthesiologist I have ever encountered for any of my daughters surgeries. I did complain to the head nurse after my daughter went in the OR screaming and crying for me, which is something I’ve never done. The nurse promised it would be taken care of. I can’t say I’m surprised at all that I haven’t heard anything from anyone yet.
I have gone to Strong West for two medical reasons. The first time was to get eye surgery. My husband and I arrived at 6 a.m. The staff there were very nice, was taken into a room for prep, several nurses came over to ask if I was okay and needed anything. Perfect care throughout the procedure, and after. I was impressed. Second time was for emergency gall bladder, I was transported to Strong Hospital where I received the best care. The nurses, CNA's, doctors, even the housekeeper were all super nice. I've never had a bad experience at Strong West or Strong Memorial Hospital..
In the beginning two years ago they hurt me when taking my blood until I found Stephanie and request her every time I go there. Stephanie is the most caring, compasionette ruse. Always ever so kind and listens to your needs and above all really knows how to draw blood without hurting a patient. She makes my day when I see her. She deserves a lot of recognition from her superiors, please give Stephanie the recognition she deserves
My husband had surgery today, all is well. The staff was amazing from the moment we checked in to the wheel chair out to the care.. thank you for such wonderful care and compassion
Went into that hospital at noon for severe leg pain the male doctor that came in made me feel like I was lying to him they took x-rays and urine was in room 10 in emergency right behind the nurses station could hear the doctors talking about how to treat me the pain was in my upper leg near my groin area heard them laughing and talking about where they could put the lidocain patch worst experience ever
I cannot help but get a warm and friendly feeling when I walk into this lab for blood work, the receptionist is the most friendly person I have ever dealt with in a hospital. The lab techs are just as nice, fast, and friendly make you feel at home in a really clean place in and out. No muss, no fuss. They really put a smile on my face and I hate needles. I have been to other labs and this is the best. I am very thankful for these great people.
It was terrible! Everytime I go there wait is long, the nurses are nice, but seems like doctors dont have a clue usually! Today my wife ended up cutting her finger open I had to wait in car or leave while she is in there. That is inconvenient and beyond stupid! If you can go in stores and restaurants in the same town why not hospital to be with loved ones? Besides hospitals are supposed to be clean and disinfected anyway!
my son and I were in unexpectedly a few months ago, he cut his eyebrow wide open! I was panicked and upset because I thought for sure he needed stitches. From the moment we arrived the staff was wonderful. We got right in, no waiting! The nurses were all absolutely phenomenal, they made me as a panicked mother feel at ease but most importantly they made my son 18 months old feel like he was the star of the show! They would take him for walks and everyone would give him high fives, he thought he was "the man". The doctor was phenomenal, if I didn't know any better I would say she specialized in working with small children! She knew exactly what to do every step of the way proving me with completely details of her every step and while doing so she kept me feeling completely comfortable as well as my son. He didn't even move a muscle! Absolutely amazing staff, I would recommend anyone to strong west!
