I have gone with family multiple times over the years and always enjoy it! The new owners are excited about the museum and sharing it! Very good people and an amazing collection. I especially love the pieces and history from Silver City and DeLamar. They have a beautiful park where you can picnic and hang out during or after your tour. Allow enough time or come back again and again!
This place is incredible! We were there for 3 hours and didn’t get to see all of it. If you get the chance this is definitely worth your time! The next time I go it will be for the day. The grounds are beautiful so would be great to enjoy a picnic lunch halfway through. Mr. Lawson couldn’t have been nicer! Little more than an hour from Boise, but well worth the drive!
This museum is absolutely amazing. There is so much to look at and the folks running it are super friendly. My dad has been here many times over the years and kept telling me its the best museum hes ever been to. I agree!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
Beautiful collections displayed creatively. You have no idea of what is in the next room or building. Constant surprises with beauty every you look, especially the couple that run it and their personalities. If you don't stop, or even go a bit out of your way to experience it, you are severely missing out on a one of a kind unique experience.
Spent two wonderful hours going through the museum, so much to see! Everyone needs to visit here! The owners are so warm and welcoming!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
I can't get enough of Lawson's! This place is a rare gem! The care and time Belva and Jack put into this "museum" is mind blowing! Go visit right now!!!!
We all really enjoyed it. Lots of great history and mr Lawson was a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommended.
We had an absolute blast at the Emu-z-um! This is truly a magical place and the perfect spot to take your family for a day. We explored the different rooms and buildings for about 3 hours and there is surely more we missed! We will definitely be going back! The Lawson’s are so welcoming and warm, and made our experience so wonderful! I can’t say nice enough things. This place is a must go for all ages!
This is an amazing place! You have to visit. Where other museums might have one or two of an item, here there will be 50 or a hundred. There is one themed room or building after another, each with an astonishing collection of items. Give yourself at least three or four hours and be sure to bring lunch. Mrs. Lawson greeted us when we arrived and told us how her husband collected all these items over the years. She got us started going around. Soon after, we met Mr. Lawson, who joined us from time to time showing the way, explaining, answering questions, and telling stories about the items and how they were aquired. Both were so friendly and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed showing us around. We almost had the place to ourselves on a Friday visit. If you live in the Boise or Mountain Home area or are just passing through on the highway, don't miss this!
What a fun place to spend the day! You’ll want to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy every room. The grounds are beautiful! Pack a picnic lunch! Jack and Belva were so hospitable and full of fun, historical tidbits! We could not believe all the interesting things to see here. Thank you for a lovely day!
