Leo P. Ostebo Kings Park Heritage Museum

"How can you know where you are going,if you don't know where you came from? The idea of having the Leo P. Ostebo Kings Park Heritage Museum began after the closing of one of the country's largest, oldest, most medically significant occupational therapy mental hospitals located in Kings Park. With a gathering of some high school students, retired KPHS English/History teacher Leo Ostebo and two other towns' people, the only school community managed, two time national award winning museum in the United States, is the continuous result of almost 25 years. Please Call And Make An Appointment For All Tours 631-269-3305."

Kings park is very historic and "should not be ripped down". It's a beautiful place to visit and view the buildings when walking around outside. I do not condemn illegally entering the buildings that's what messes it up for everyone. Just walk around the park durring the day and maybe one day they will open up tours of the buildings where they talk about the history of them. :
Not only is this museum outstanding, the gentlemen it is named after literally saved my life. I am forever grateful
