We’ve used several banks in city of Chicago. And we found Liberty Bank for Savings best among the rest. Staff are so helpful and polite, and willing to give their time to assist you. They are all good but with the special mention of Elsa and Maria both of them are excellent in the service they rendered. You feel so comfortable knowing that your concern will be taken cared of. All in all Excellent job to you all
On August 2022, I went to Liberty Bank for Savings to open a savings account. I was told the requirements to open an account was $500 minimum deposit. I told the banking representative that I had just moved to Chicago, IL & I was having my employer direct deposit my work pay into another bank account & that I did not have the complete $500 at the time of opening the bank account with Liberty Bank. The banking representative told me that it would fine & that all I need to do is present a check from the other bank for $500 & by the time the Liberty Bank completes opening my account some days it will give my direct deposit enough time to clear in my other bank. However that is not what Liberty Bank of Savings did, instead they took my check & tried to cash it that same day. When my other bank got the notification for the check they called me & I called Liberty Bank for Savings and ask them why they did that when they specifically told me they would not be trying to cash this check until some days have passed while they are doing their review of opening my savings account. After speaking to the Liberty Bank for Savings banker who opened my account I got frustrated and decided that I no longer wanted to continue opening an account with Liberty Bank for Savings, I told the banker & told her to cancel my savings account application with them. She apologized & told me that they can fix the situation but I said no its fine I do not want an account with them anymore especially if they were not complete honest in telling me how their opening account procedures worked. After telling the banker at Liberty Bank for Savings to close my account & any other files they have on me the banker told me she will do that. However some months later I found out that Liberty Bank for Savings had spitefully put my name in Chexsystems stating that I had committed bank fraud. I called Liberty Bank for Savings to get an understanding of why they did this and no one has yet to call me back.
This bank has been very diligent in protecting my money, even the purchases on my debit card they monitor for supisious activity which I really like. They are always helpful with any banking service I require .
The bank staff is very caring and courteous. The branch manager is very nice and helpful. I hope to be with them for many years in the future.
Excellent community bank. Helpful, consistent and always friendly. We've been with them for 20 years and never regretted it.
Nice old school bank, reminiscent of the 90s. Great customer service, nice open lobby with plenty of seating. Ample parking available in the lot, drive up banking is convenient. They have lockers available to rent yearly to store your valuables.
The branch manager Ms. Elsa Rivera and staffs are super nice and very helpful.
