Their counselor ? She may not have even been a counselor, but she acted like one, Mary, told me that I wouldn’t have success getting help because I’m a chronic pain patient. She also heavily implied that my anti-depressants and medication for trigeminal neuralgia from breaking my spine in several places were essentially addictive and should be treated the same as heroin. So I’d have to quit my anti-depressant in order to be sober. She said that using any substance at all makes you “not sober.” Encouraging patients to quit medications without a license is extremely dangerous and illegal. I’d highly recommend patients seek help elsewhere, where it’s safer. Mary was wrong, by the way. I have seven years now. Thanks to Cascadia.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This has been the most frustrating experience when I have been in one of the worst crises of my life. One of my appointments wasn’t booked correctly, shuffled around to different clinicians that never came through, several other appointments were cancelled on me, I couldn’t even get a straight answer on how to receive a DBT workbook, and the last cancelled appointment I was left with no other option but to get on a long wait list or go somewhere else. I’m packing up and going somewhere else. Ridiculous. You all are screwing around with people’s sobriety and mental health and it is NOT OKAY.
After being in out treatment for a month, I was sent here. I've been here for 5 years. Good things about this place 1 You can text your QMHA, peer mentor and therapist for emergencies 2 They can come to your place or you can meet them out in the community if you have anxiety 3 Its free Some bad things 1 because its a low paying job, a lot of employees come and go quickly. Some stay for a month. I've seen 2 peer mentors, one therapist, and 3 QHMA. It's definitely worth it though if you can't afford a therapist, can't drive or have severe social anxiety. I'm moving over to a different health place because i've been waiting too long for a female therapist and i've been having flashbacks.
Not a place for people with serious mental health problems. They have zero interest in addressing our grievances. Save yourself the time. Treatment is a commodity and you get what you pay for. Can't afford it? Good luck!
I had a great experience at Lifeworks. My counselor. Justin was very nice, and everyone was respectful. It was not a stressful environment to go to.
Just as bad as every other place here.. No help, its obviously just about money.. They don't care if you're suicidal, psychotic, whatever.. You're on your own...
I go there e times a week and i would travel far and wide to see the counselors here at this site there nice, confidential, sweet, loving, REAL MOST OF ALL.
I've been with them for years and they're great. They really try to get you the best care and hello you with access to services.
Love it here. I'm receiving professional help that always feels personal. Everyone is so kind.
The councillors and therapists care about your needs and helping you get to a better, more functional place.
