Los Portales is the best restaurant ever. They have AMAZING service, and people. Exspecially Raul the owner and Diana, the one who works at the front Raul's daughter. They always have plenty to fill anyone up and they're salsa? Off the charts! I almost always get full just on that! But I can't beat their prices, and I recommend it to everyone! It's just so tasty!
I will never ever go back to "LOS Portales" MexiacanRestaurant. -Food was awful. Even the salsa for the chips was bad. -server was bad. He didn't even ask us how was the food. Oh wait I don't blame him, I believe he didn't because he knows the food suck. I was wonder why the restaurant was empty today? Sunday and now I have no doubts. What's goin on?? It was really good like 4 years ago. I don't recommend at all!!!
This place is amazing we have been going their with some friends every week since this place opened up for business. Raul the manager is totally awesome he's always in a bright and entergetic mood when we show up. Food is amazing can be spicier somedays than others be warned just tell them mild if you want it less hot. Their waiters are fast friendly and the fact that you can hear the fluent spanish amongst the employee's was great especially when i'm still learning the language for school. Great Place and keep up the good work!!
My boyfriend and I went there around 8 on a Wednesday night. We walked in and it was like a dance club, not a restaurant, and they sat us right by the speaker. Also they had a taco eating contest going on too. Everyone was yelling telling him to eat more and our server wasn't even paying any attention to us. Then we got our food and the guy who was in the taco eating contest started puking in his hands and just walking around not going to the bathroom. Finally the women sponsoring the contest took him into the girls bathroom not even sure if that's legal. I got up and told the owner I can not eat here and he goes to his computer to make me pay. Then he said "Oh this one will be on us see you soon." Its perfect for young girls who they over serve but not for anyone over the age of 23.
Heard recently that a couple of females were harrassed and that the staff at Portales thought is was funny. No support for this restaurant anymore. There's enough hate and pain going on and if you don't attempt to protect your patrons, you don't deserve the business. The word is being spread.
Went there with my family and had trouble eating as we watched the staff covertly try to chase mice out of the dining room. Might have been okay, but bathrooms were gross and the mice were too much.
Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE this place!!!!! They are so friendly and have excellent service. I've been known to go there more than once in a day haha. Quesadilla roja with chicken=amazeballs
My friends and I always come here, and I always leave satisfied. Amazing food and good margaritas! :
It's okay Mexican. I wouldn't call it authentic by any means but it's a great place for large groups and they have good margaritas.
Food was awful, rice overcooked, meat had no seasoning and dry, veggies not fully cook And service was just ok.. I wouldn't recommend this place...
