Maceroni Funeral Home was founded by Bernardo Maceroni on Federal Hill in Providence in 1927. From a meager store front location on Atwells Avenue, Bernardo's son Anthony moved the funeral home to North Providence in 1956. It was one of the first facilities constructed specifically as a funeral home in Rhode Island. After the death of Anthony Maceroni in 1974, his son Bernard became the 3rd Generation to own and operate the funeral home. Even though he continues to be very active in all aspects of the funeral home, Bernie recently passed on the tradition to his nephew Anthony Hamel, who is the great-grandson of the founder Bernardo Maceroni. Anthony represents the 4th generation dedicated to compassionate and professional service to the community.

Brad and Paul did a great job helping with the process. I must say Brad was excellent with the arrangements as well as the day of the service. The hardest thing was the loss of our 99 year old mother, but Brad was with us every step of the way. Our family will always truly appreciate Brads attention to every detail and his sincerity and compassion he had for every family member. Thank You Brad and the Maceroni Funeral Family for making this day a special Memory for our family.

My mom passed 12/11/21 and Maceroni Funeral Home was our only choice. Maceroni Funeral Home has assisted my family with past arrangements and once again went above and beyond to assist us. Brad Presnol is the manager and want to give our personal thanks to Brad for showing guidance and compassion in our time of need. Brad once again walked us through all our needs for a special loved one & that was our mom. Brad asked questions & dates & the history of her life not only for the wake & funeral but because of his caring ways. He wanted to know & share our sorrow. My grandmother’s life was celebrated this week at Maceroni & Sons, and the Prete family & I had nothing but the best experience. Each encounter was lovely, positive and warm for such a naturally sad experience. Brad was our Funeral Director and went above and beyond to show kindness and honor to our beloved. He even delivered flowers back to our home to help us after the service! I would recommend any family in the Rhode Island area to look to Maceroni & Sons for funeral arrangements. Thank you so much.
Everyone at Maceroni worked carefully to build a situation and experience that was calm, seamless, and very warm - all during a time that was at once overwhelming, incredibly busy, surreal, and deeply sad. Our mother Joy was well taken care of. Her family and friends were well taken care of. Every single detail was attended to and Maceroni went out of their way to ensure all elements exceeded our expectations. Maceroni allowed us all sorts of ways to try and personalize the services, which we very much appreciated. Sending a huge thanks to Anthony and his team.
My family and I highly recommend Maceroni Funeral Home. We have been treated like family. They are so supportive, kind, friendly. They took such good care of us when our mother passed away. And, of course, such good care of our mother. Always right there to answer our questions. And so patient with us because we had so many questions. We only have great things to say about Maceroni Funeral Home.
I recently traveled from Seattle to Pawtucket to bury my father's ashes at St. Francis Cemetery. Anthony and the other employees at Maceroni Funeral Home made my father's gravesite service flawless! They helped both my aunt in Providence and I with arranging for Veteran's Honors for my father. The bagpiper was playing as we drove up to the family plot. There wasn't a dry eye at the service! Everything was perfect! I highly recommend Maceroni Funeral Home and Cremation Services!
Topnotch from beginning to end. Brad was excellent in outlining and explaining with patience and compassion all the steps necessary to make our sad time memorable and proud. On the day of the burial, Brad and all members of the staff at the cemetery were friendly, sympathetic, efficient and understanding. We have nothing but high praise to a great team with stellar customer service! Thank you!
This was not our first experience with Maceroni's and once again, we were not disappointed. No matter what kind of arrangements we requested, they were able to accommodate us with no problem. Most of my conversations were with Brad, and he could not have been more patient or helpful, plus he made himself available according to our needs. Whatever I neglected to think of, he remembered; there was not one base that was not covered. It was a very difficult time for our family, and their kindness and compassion made us feel very comfortable and secure. As much as we hope that we do not need the services of a funeral home again in the near future, if we did we would go back to Maceroni's.
