Wife and I booked these for our Mackinaw/U.P. honeymoon trip. Overall, not terrible, depending on what you're looking for, but we will probably explore other options when we return. Pros: Cheaper than many hotels. Out of town, but more than close enough 5 minute drive. Staff is nice and helpful. Cons: The advertising was a bit deceiving for us. We were expecting lakefront cabins, ON the lake. Facing the lake, and maybe a little bit of room around us. The view is other cabins, a gravel road, and other guests. The cabins were nice but this is more of a campground situation. Most of the cabins are not facing the lake and they are all about 10 feet apart. Turned out to be a somewhat noisy site during the day, with lots of children and a few dogs, which we didn't think were allowed. Luckily we filled our schedule and only slept and showered in the cabins. Mackinaw and the U.P. are too beautiful to spend time wherever you book.
This is a great place to rent to be close to Mackinaw City and to be able to see the Mackinaw Bridge from the shore of the Cabins. You do have to bring all of your own bedding sheets, towels and shower items when staying. The beds are not very comfortable but for the friendliness, price and convenience of the location they deserve a 5 star. There is also a bike path we ended up taking that leads back to the main camp ground with the park store and pool. We will be back again.
This is our little piece of paradise! I love love love vacations in Mackinaw City. There so much to do in Michigan.! Just Google it.. But the Mackinac Lake Front Cabins are amazing. We have stayed here for the last 5 years. We started in the 2 person cabin in 2016 then stayed twice in a 4 person cabin. Now we are in the newest 6 person 2 bed room cabins which face Lake Huron. They are amazing and very spacious cabins. A few night it got down in the 40's and we were stuck in side. Thank goodness for space heaters and our bag chair as we cuddle up and watch TV and sit by the windows watching the high winds whip up Lake Huron. These cabins are very nice. Access to a small beach, log swings, community fire pit, kids play ground, access to launch your Kayak, SUP, or swim, or gaze at the Big Mighty Mac all day!!! You also have access to the Mill Creek camp ground they have a pool and small camp store. You also have access to small Weber charcoal grills.
Loved our cabin!!! We weren't at the campground, we were even closer to the city down the road in the cabins. Our practically private beach was an awesome place to enjoy the sunrise and I loved the coffee cabin. Everything was very clean and our view was incredible. The bald eagle pics were an added bonus.Perfect base camp for our Mackinac adventure. We will certainly come back again and recommend it to our friends.
One of best cabin experiences. It's a no brainer to stay here, I'd book it next time and all the time. Lovely view outside, great place to stargaze sitting on side of lake, our cabin had a nice swing on beach. Cabins are cozy, affordable and clean within nature Overall 5/5
This was a great experience! Cabins were a great find. Right on the water with views of Mackinac island and Mackinaw bridge. Nightly communal campfire was a nice way to end the busy days.
We have stayed here a few times and would highly recommend it. Very clean super, friendly staff, and beautiful views.
This location provides an excellent view of the Bridge and the Island.
Perfect lakefront cabins! The cabins were clean and seemed recently built. The location takes the cake though - we had cabin #15 so we were about 20 feet from the beach. Just beautiful! We would definitely stay there again!
Stayed for 4 days the communal campfire was wonderful with the bridge as a backdrop and made friends along the way.
