The pools, beach and view are great. However the room was not clean. I found items from previous guests in my room. I watched a cleaning lady sweep everything out of a room onto the walk way while she was eating her pretzels. For the price we paid the room should have been clean. The chairs in the room were so dirty. Dressers, headboards we're not wiped down, I could see the dust on it. With COVID this should be a focus. I understand your under staffed however I seen 4 different cleaning ladies on my side where I was staying. I feel the management needs to check behind them for the price guest are paying. There are no microwaves in the rooms. Being a clean hotel should be your main focus. I would not recommend this hotel because they don't clean rooms.
Had planned on staying 3 nights at this hotel Dec. of 2021. We stayed one and got the heck out. The room was the size of a postage stamp with 2 double beds...not queens. The AC did not work, the pool was not a normal color of water no one in their right mind would swim in it, and we couldn't even open our sliding glass door for ocean air because the pool bathrooms, which were right outside of our room, were backed up with sewage and the smell was horrible. Restaurants weren't open either. The room itself appeared to be clean...but overall, it was not an acceptable experience for us. I will say, the staff was friendly and accommodating.
Great amenities for the kids. Mine especially loved that they could walk straight out to the playground and pool from our room. The rooms were a little bit dated but nothing awful. Bed was comfy. Wish some of the food options were open on site.Rooms: 4/5
Rooms were very clean. Small but had everything one needs. This is actually a pretty cool resort for the price. 2 pools, hot tub, small beach. The beach front bar and the restaurant were closed due to Covid. Unfortunately, without these I can't give this place a full recommendation. When they do reopen I would return. It isn't too far a drive from St. Pete's Beach. The immediate vicinity is not desirable.
Pretty nice looking place...It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room and a choice between a queen or double bed.... also most motels offer at least a continental breakfast and coffee in the office area. Maguson did not. They did have two very nice pools and a Jacuzzi but the birds are a bit much. You need some of that fishing line to keep them at bay..other than that relaxing stay. FYI jek ski rental is a not open... And had not been for at least 9 months... Disappointing
Staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel is dated had a bit of damp smell when you first walk in but all in all is wasn't bad. Would have been nice if the restaurants were open. We did enjoy the hot tub and meet a nice couple from Mexico and had a nice conversation. I would recommend this hotel
Very disappointed. None of the restaurants on the property were open, neither were the bar or the kitchen. They closed in March 2020 due to covid and haven't reopened since, even though most other restaurants have been able to open safely with precautions. Our room had crumbs of old food on the carpet when we checked in. We stayed 4 nights and housekeeping only cleaned the room/replaced the towels once during our stay. It had the feel of and old FL resort in its death-throws, trying to hang on for one more season.
I love this hotel. The front desk people are amazing. Great view. They have a heated pool and the beach is next to the pool. They have a kids park too. Great place for family. We will love to come back in this place.4 stars because the restaurant was close.
This hotel is in a ideal location near the Sky Bridge with a nice water view. It really has a lot of potential but is begging to be renovated, it is quite dated in every aspect. The marina area with boat docks was closed with damage. The fish cleaning station was out of service. No breakfast available, the onsite restaurant was closed seems indefinitely?. For the price paid, you’d think these amenities would be open and available for use. As for the room, it was relatively clean. The beds and pillows were pretty comfy. The shower head was in need a good scrubbing and the water fluctuated between cold and hot while in use, but the water pressure was alright. The outdoor balcony was dirty, but it provided a partial water view of Tampa Bay. The onsite beach area was unkept but peaceful.
Hotel is a bit dated but the pools and grounds are beautiful. The bed gave me a backache, but might be good for others, and I didn't like the pillows. Food services have not reopened yet. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Has two pools and a playground and a little wedge of sand beach. Grounds, pools, and pool bathroom were all immaculate. Overall a good stay!
