Dr. Callen earned her Dental Medicine Doctorate from the University of Puerto Rico in 1992. After two years of General Practice Residency for Hospital Dentistry in Charlotte, North Carolina, she decided to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Callen moved to Cincinnati in 1994 and received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 1996.
Upon graduation, Dr. Callen joined the faculty of the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where she taught the dental residents for 14 years, focusing on the dental management of medically compromised children and patients with developmental/physical disabilities. She has been in private practice in the Cincinnati area for the past 13 years, where she enjoys working with children of all ages.
Dr. Callen married Kelly, a Cincinnati native, in 1996. Their son, Jake, was born on Halloween 2002. As a family, they enjoy boating, bicycling and spending time with friends. Dr. Callen is also fluent in Spanish.
