McDonough Animal Hospital

Initially we had our dogs going to a different vet and our cats came here. We recently switched to bringing all of our babies here because every single time we came here, they were all so welcoming and we never felt like strangers. Everyone is always so caring and kind to our babies and so patient. We have found that other vets immediately label one of our dogs as aggressive because she’s a Belgian malinois, but everyone here was SO patient with her and so sweet with her. I never had to worry. Dr. Ortiz is always so informative and kind. She never made us feel silly for coming in for mild issues and always treated us like we were the only ones in the clinic. She always takes the time to make sure we don’t have any lingering questions and if questions came up later, they offer text messaging and respond so quickly. I had my kitten neutered today and was so nervous but they were kind enough to send me an update picture of him waking up. They really do go above and beyond and I am so grateful they love and care for our babies! This has also been the most reasonably priced vet I’ve ever been to. They throw in various courtesy items onto our bill every time we’ve been. It makes such a difference. All in all, every single staff member has been absolutely amazing and Dr. Ortiz is amazing. I am a nervous wreck when it comes to my babies and they have never made me feel worried about their care. I would highly recommend this place.

I have been here twice. The first visit was wonderful with Dr.Erica Ortiz and her staff are very friendly and professional. I have found the perfect veterinarian office for my sweet pup! The visit lasted less than an hour and all my needs were addressed. I also called the office a week after about an issue and it was addressed promptly and quickly! I definitely would recommend this office to everyone!

I brought in Hoss and his two sisters Lily and Bo. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When the doctor came in she was so patient and gave each of them individual care. She also answered all my questions. I have another appointment this week for their mom and a follow up next week for the babies .... the staff is so wonderful that I am not dreading these appointments at all. The nurses & staff were very friendly. The Dr seemed very knowledgeable & patient with all of my questions. They took good care of our fur babies. The rooms are pretty tiny & need some TLC & updating. Other than that we really enjoyed the place.

Receptions weren’t the most welcoming. When I first got there it felt like I was being ignored on purpose. There was no proper greeting. Let me state that this was my first time coming to this veterinary office. I went to talk to them about the things I scheduled and I was literally told “they would go over that with you in the room” it felt like the receptionist didn’t want to do her job. Which is odd because your the first point of contact. When I’m scheduling, the receptionist is supposed to be the person to talk about vaccines and services. The service was terrible I literally cancel my point in the middle of the lobby and left. I’m not a picky person or think I’m entitled but I also work in customer service so I know how a guest should be treated. My appointment was 10/18 at 10AM. There were two receptionists and the one with gray hoodie was the rude one.

Literally the best vet I have ever been to. My dog Leia was taken great care of. I even got a follow up text asking how she was. I felt so welcomed by the amazing front desk ladies. I will forever go to this vet. 100000000/10 service!!!!

Adopted a pet took him to the vet at McDonough Animal Hospital for a checkup. Super friendly staff and very professional vet. Been doing business with them for over two years with no complaints.

Great doctors and staff. My 7 month old mini pig was recently very ill with a high fever and not eating or drinking. I had to take her in 2 days in a row due to her condition and they took me in right away. I have been using this veterinarian office for well over 20 years and have never found better. The staff is great and their prices are fair and much lower than other vets in the area. You should give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

We’ve been with this vet for 13 years . We have always used this vet . But the one day we needed them to see him . They wouldn’t work him in. I told them that he was not eating , drinking, and could not walk. And the lady on the phone was rude to me. She kept telling me I needed to take him to a 24 hour vet . Wasn’t concern at all. As long as we have been using them , they did not seem concerned. So now he has passed . So please stay on top of your veterinary.

I have brought my dog here for his shots since I first got him the first apt started off god but care slowly dropped down his second viset they never gave me my rabies tag for him I had to make a special trip up there to get one another apt they did not even bring my dog back to a room for his shot they where closing and just came to the waiting room to give him a shot but I was still charged as I was seeing the vet I called in on a Monday to find out about getting my dog some medicine since the storms and moving he had not been sleeping hardly at all I called the vet office at 1030-11 to see if I needed to bring him in or if the vet could give him something for anxiety I was told she would ask the vet and call me back after 5 hours of waiting I was told the vet was in surgery and had been in surgery all day and would get back to me well by almost 10:00 am the following day she still has not gotten back to me so now moving my dog vets due to the VERY POOR care and concern they have
