Review is for not having accurate visitation hour signs posted… and not being friendlier when I tried to visit . I asked 4 employees and had three different answers. You have to wait in a long line to get in. It is not difficult to put up signs and be a bit friendlier. The care has been exceptional so far, so I recommend the hospital. I am trying to alert hospital to fix an easy problem. 2nd day worse… we were told this is the ambulance entrance by security guard and not to come inside, you can see you must continue the line inside and ambulance entrance is not here, it is by the emergency room other side of building
From the moment I entered the emergency room until the moment I was wheeled out after a stay in the surgical unit, I witnessed and received the utmost professionalism, care, and dignity from each individual I encountered. Each professional provided me with the information I needed to make decisions and to understand what was happening and when. I received clear communication for each test and procedure. I did not have to ask many questions because every step was clear and free of medical jargon. From each nurse, nurse assistant, student, transport, technician, housekeeping yes, even housekeeping!, case manager, registration, and doctors, everyone demonstrated care for my progress and overall well-being. At moments when I needed privacy or had questions, each person respected my needs and gave clear answers. I also enjoyed the therapy dogs that visited, which brightened my day and stay. This was my first visit, and I received strong care.
The service was adequate with the exception of my nurse who was incredibly rude. I was feeling dizzy but had to use the bathroom. I asked for a portable urinal and she instantly lost her temper. I ended up waiting for my discharge discharge just to use the bathroom. As I was being discharged and we were going down the hall, I came across a dear friend who was obviously severely injured. I tried to express my concern for my friend. Once again she lost her temper and raised her voice at me. I understand that perhaps this is their policy however she could have used a little more tact in dealing with this situation. She treated me like garbage and when you're under the weather, this is the last thing you need. I think that I'm being very generous by giving 2 stars but I am taking into consideration the rest of the staff which was actually pretty good. Just one bad apple soured the whole experience.
Went in with extreme sciatic nerve pain and couldn't even walk. They made my husband leave because they weren't allowing visitors so I had no one there to help me get around. When I got to exam room 1 I told the lady I couldn't push the wheel chair anymore when she sent me back to the waiting room because it was causing me more pain and she just stared at me and watched me struggle to get out. It took me a long time to even get to exam room 1 and all the nurses watched me struggle as well. I immediately called my husband to pick me up. I was so hurt and humiliated. Would not recommend this hospital.
I dropped my wife off there tonight. She had such severe pain that she required a wheel chair. Because of covid 19 restrictions I was not able to stay with her, but got her checked in and parked in the area she was to wait in. She called me sobbing not even a half hour later. She had, in an immense amount of pain wheeled herself to the first exam room, where she described her pain and other symptoms. She explained that moving herself in the chair was beyond her abilities with the pain level she was experiencing and they made no attempt to help her! A team of medical professionals watched my wife painstakingly wheel herself away and didn't lift a finger to assist in any way! Please don't go see these clowns. You are not dropping your loved ones with competent, compassionate, or caring people. I'm shocked and angry at the inhumane way my wife was treated. Absolutely abhorrent.
Trying to keep this short my best thought description ; Here the DOCTORS treat you as a PATIENT not just some system that gives or changes something saying the Doctor Says. I do remember the game. Been to 3 different places last 4 weeks. I do remember some important people but observed other perfessional people, all appearing similar. This is short for me. Good luck.
This was my first time in here at this hospital , an let's jus say, this was a very pleasant an nice time here! I was seen very quickly an taking care, as if I was apart of the staffing ! If I ever need a emergency again In the future, I will for sure be heading here again! 2 thumbs up!
I went in ER last night this emergency crew amd staff are wonderful they help you and take care of what u need and get thru. I was in 1 room hearing this woman sobbing and rambling her mouth didnt understand her had cop standby . All I can think this job is not for everyone takes a heart to work in place like that. Its a tough job I see and I jad this nurse she did really great job takeing care of me. Bless these staff. They takecare of tough patients which gotta be the hardest to do. Anyway Bless these medical workers
Very disappointed! Daughter in for 18 days. No shower/bathing. Released with open sores & rash that she didn’t have prior. Poor communication. Pushed release without adequate PT evaluation & plan for home care. Ten tortuous home care days at home she’s back in the hospital in Merced Mercy.
This is the best hospital. They took care of hubby & now there taking care of me. 5th floor north & south towers are excellent. Love them all they deserve to be noticed.
