Are you looking to take your nursing career to the next level? Mercyhurst University can help you to achieve that goal with its RN to BSN Completion Program.
Registered Nurses will have the opportunity to complete the necessary coursework Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings, making it convenient for those trying to balance careers, families and school. All nursing courses integrate both distance (online) learning and face-to-face learning strategies. Blended learning has been shown to best meet the needs of working RNs by reducing the time the RN needs to be on-campus, while still allowing for time to interact with professors and peers.
This program prepares the RN to adapt to an ever-changing healthcare delivery system, to care for individuals, families, and communities and to function in leadership positions. Graduates will also be qualified to pursue advanced level professional and educational opportunities.
Mercyhurst North East’s RN to BSN program is unique in that students who have successfully completed either an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma program are eligible to enter the program without additional pre-requisites, providing a seamless academic progression.
The program is made up of 52 credits, which is described as Track 1. We also offer a 31 credit BSN completion program for those RNs who have a non-nursing bachelor's degree in Track 2. A detailed list of the required courses are available here: course descriptions.
All 300 and 400 level nursing classes are held in the Janet L. Miller building which is conveniently located immediately off the Thruway in North East, PA. All program faculty and staff are also located in this convenient location.
