With the busy lives we all lead it is important to find time with ourselves, even if only for an hour or two, each week to remain grounded and balanced in a sometimes chaotic world. My Vinyasa yoga classes are aimed at creating space to be with oneself mind, body and spirit to obtain balance and greater self awareness.
Teacher Bio:
My name is Amanda, I have been practicing yoga for a total of 9 years on and off, and consistently for 2 years. I studied Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga in Rishikesh, India for one month during the summer of 2014 and received my 200 hour, RTC yoga teacher certification from the Yoga Alliance in June 2014.
I currently have a regular, personal practice of Kundalini and Vinyasa Flow yoga.
I possess a Master's of Science in Clinical Psychology, am a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee (soon to be an Intern) and have a certificate in gerontology.
My yoga philosophy is grounded in the idea of yoga as a form of psychology, improving one's awareness and control of their internal and external processes through the integration of mind, body and spirit. Yoga is a form of physical, mental and emotional fitness.
