Great place for family fun and educational.
It's a small, free community museum housed in two historic buildings. You'll mainly get to know more about the citrus industry here. I'd like to see more information on the butterflies since that is the symbol of the city. Don't forget to check out the annex in the old post office. Plan on about 30 minutes.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Excellent little historical museum in the middle of mission. Not only does it have interesting information on the history of mission, but the entire lower RGV as well. There is a neat library inside of an old safe within the building. There is no entry fee, place is clean and well-kept with a nice garden outside.
This is my favorite Museum in the region. It may not be the biggest, but it is so welcoming. They have awesome programs for kids in the summer and good lectures once a month. I encourage people come and visit and become members of the Mission Historical Museum.
Very informative and interactive for the kids
Great place to take the family for a few hours to learn about the rich history of Mission. Don’t miss out on the great things going on there and the new exhibits!!
Check the baseball area ..it was interesting...
Have to change location that muffler shop is horrific dirty right in front of museum shame. Its great despite the junkyard in front.
Excellent monthly lectures on local history. This one was on RGV folk medicine. Dr. Hermosa from UT--RGV was the presenter.
One of Mission's finest historical building that was donated by the John Shary family. Small collection but, well worth seeing the building.
