Great experience at Mission Hospital after having Emergency Surgery. The Doctors and Nurses were all absolutely amazing. Kept my pain under control and made me comfortable during my week stay. Worth the wait in the event the ER is busy.
I was here for my daughter sleep study. I gave it 5 stars 1. The technician was very patient with my daughter. My daughter has autism level 2. He dealt with her very well . 2. I went on easter day . The cafeteria had easter dinner. Very reasonable 3. Choc nurses gave my daughter an easter bag full of surprises to keep her busy at home. 4. The ride there was very long i took California 101 south but its pretty sence to see. I have dealt with orange sleep study part of choc . I honestly dislike that one they were rude and werent prepared for my daughter. Mission viejo the technician place you in waiting room then they call you set you in room . My technician had everything ready . He gave me paperwork to fill out. By 8:30pm my technician was ready to test . My daughter was sleeping The atmosphere in Mission viejo choc sleep center was beautiful and calming
I hate going to the doctor's office or hospital; it is almost never an enjoyable experience and I have left many appointments feeling unheard, uncared for and largely disrespected. This was not the case with my emergency room visit to Providence Mission Hospital. I've been to the ER before. I prepared myself to be in the waiting room for 3-4 hours and then another 1-2 hours of sitting in a hospital bed, praying for appropriate care. I do my best to avoid the ER, but I knew I needed to go for this specific situation. The PA Jessica and her nurse I am so sorry I did not get your name, I was hoping it was on the discharge papers were gentle, caring, understanding and helpful. An ER is a hectic environment and not one that is easy to manage with patience, but these folks made it look easy. I was seen quickly, listened to, given appropriate care and ultimately left feeling as though I had received more than I could have expected. I learned that the ER is handling patients in different groups based on the ailment/necessary treatment and trying to work in a more efficient manner. I felt this was readily seen in my situation and appears to be effective. Thank you Providence; I know you cannot make everyone happy and satisfied, but you did help me.
Last year I had an incident where I needed to get a surgery after attempting to get Care at two different hospitals and not being cared for I ended up going here. I'm so glad that I ended up going here they were fasting or efficient they brought me back to health. After telling my mom about my experience I begin to bring her here as of today she is admitted and it took a little long it out there in the waiting room but I was a pretty hectic night either way great place, great staff.
First of all absolutely lovely, waiting room! Feels extremely modern and clean. Call-center team was incredible to get me into a last minute appointment. Dr. Edward was so kind and compassionate. I highly recommend!
Do not go to Providence Mission emergency room due to over crowded, understaffed, and the head nurse was not helpful when asked questions about how long it was going to be for my daughter to get a blood test, I was deferred and ignored. We were not able to stay after 4.5 hours and they were not able to give us any information and we’re treating the stragglers with pain addiction problems before chest pain. I really take an issue with that. we would’ve been treated, certainly as paying, and insured people, a lot better at some of the local, urgent cares or emergency room, such as saddleback hospital or Hoag. This literally has been so traumatic. I would not step foot in that emergency room and this is not my first time there. It’s always been a long, long, long way, so if you have pain, if you’re having a heart attack, or any serious emergency go somewhere else
This is an update of earlier review today. Doctor ordered medicine prescription to hospital pharmacy sales unit and medical devices to my national pharmacy for some reason, corporate greed perhaps. I go to my pharmacy to pick up balance of prescribed medication. This consisted insulin delivery pens. There was scripts for sugar monitoring products. TOO BAD there is no insulin ordered and no monitor machine for the lances and straps that they prescribed. The pharmacist said she couldn't reach out to them because Mission Hospital was done with me after checking out. Tough luck!! I called Mission to speak with patients advocate, but connected with Risk Management. There was no answer, and 3 hours later no response from them. The crosses hanging over the doorways must mean the patients will get crucified for getting sick. Again, Thank you to All Staff below doctors for your fantastic service!! Doctors, kiss my grits.
The staff, everyone on all levels was fantastic!! My complaint is No interaction with the doctors involved with my medical issues. I came through ER for cardio issue. At the end of my stay, a nurse gave me no information Except a sack full of pills to take. I had NO doctor interaction, No explanation, No stress test results, no explanation of the meds, No discussion of meds, or chance to discuss other options. I'm a 73 yo man with excellent mental abilities, NOT some 5 yo kid. How about some RESPECT for your customer and medical patient? BTW, the over worked Medical staff needs help to properly care for the patients
LITERALLY A JOKE. Absolutely awful. I was born here and it’s way different since then. I told them I’m a recovering methamphetamine user, and since then the nurses and staff were so disrespectful. Id ask then nurse a question and she wouldn’t even answer due to judging me. The security were physically intimidating me and took my water out of my hand for no reason. When I left, they DIRECTLY followed me outside and acted like I was going to do something crazy. Absolutely insane, I was just there to get help from serious stomach pain. I am escalating this to the owners and possibly filing a lawsuit.
My sincerest Thanks go out to the am/ pm staff in mission hospital building #1, 3rd floor. Also, my thanks to the chef. The new chicken pot pie is great, also the roast beef and breakfast. Thank you all!!! I sure hope they all get to see this review.
