We are a non-profit organization that seeks to fulfill the vision of Mr. Charles Wood, to create an authentic Japanese Garden in Mobile, AL. It is located 100 yds east of the corner of Forest Hill Dr. and Springhill Ave.
Mr. Wood has vigorously pursued his vision for the past fourteen years through significant sweat, equity and the gracious contributions of individuals and of governmental agencies alike.
Prior to the garden's architectural design being completed in 2001 by Mr. Takeo (Tah-Kee-oh) Uesugi (ooh-eh-sue-gee), Mr. Wood constructed the ponds and faithfully kept the garden property in shape, until he was able to engage in the full implementation of the design plans.
