Updated August 15th, 2023 Lovely little place. Btw, TY! 500K views! You can rent Roku sticks and DVDs and for those of us that are remote workers, there's a private meeting room to take calls. A wall of yearbooks, and cabinets of historical Monroeville. Who doesn't like the library? Even Ron Swanson likes books. You can pick up handy volumes on carpentry and boats. I know these days it's really easy to get the content whenever you want. But the original version of advertising is the age old page turner. There is something magical about dropping digital for a bit and in its place, something else you can hold like a phone, and swipe just the same. But that's real. And you should go. And get a book on something, and tune out for an hour, and give your eyes a gentle wash of words and parables from authors of centuries and decades past. If you read this, promise me you will stop by and pick up a book. Also I got a library card for free and the bag with it.
Amazing staff, knowledgeable and kind. The library offers so much more than books, dvd and cds. They have outstanding programming for adults/teens/teens and kids, and a really cool makers space with lots of gadgets including a 3D printer, circuit, and sewing machines. This is a safe and inviting space. Definitely worth supporting!
An amazing library with everything you could want and more! Ample seating, multiple large meeting rooms, and super friendly staff. They have lots of charging options within the quiet study area and a great section for artists and creators. This is a great library with so many nice, small touches throughout. Thank you to the staff for helping us have an amazing experience!
This is one of the most wonderful libraries! I always bring my kids to spend time and play in the children’s library. There are TONS of books, a giant connect four game, cool toys, a drawing area, and there’s always activities for the kids to do. We absolutely love it here and everyone working is always so kind and lovely.
The staff is polite and eager to help. It's a comfortable, pleasant facility. I always enjoy the art show gallery and the different artists on display. I added some photos from the show on 11/29/2022.
When I took my children to this library the other day, we were greeted with a large table display about pride. I found this disgusting and disturbing especially since it was in the children’s section. The library is supposed to be a place for children to learn and read. Having a display like this is pitiful and pathetic. This has nothing to do with children. I would never want my children to know anything about this sinful choice that confused people choose to make. You should reconsider having political junk in your children’s section. I will never be back to this library.
Love this library very clean and organized. A lot of different rooms for specific age groups and activities. They also have a beautiful art exhibit room at the entrance that display different art at different times of the month. The staff is also very polite and helpful.
This is the best library I've ever been to. It is very homey, and comfortable there. They have lots of computers no waiting, friendly employees. This library is very, very clean even the bathroom. They have lots of things for children too, like markers, colored pencils etc Open later than all other libraries.
I love this library. I've been to many in the Allegheny County system and this one trumps them all. It's big without being too big. It's well organized. It has a great selection. It has lots of computers. What was really helpful is a woman who was volunteering and acting as a concierge. But what really set this library apart was it's park like setting and artwork throughout the library. Ample parking is a plus.
Really didn’t have much time there when we gone for a trip for AEN. Lady talked too much and didn’t even get enough time to look around. Instead it was wasted on making LinkedIn accounts
