I really enjoyed the Bernini Roman Baroque exhibit today. A nice museum with ease of viewing and polite crowds. I just wish there were more docents available at he exhibit as I couldn't get a simple question answered... But other than that.... Top notch
Great Museum with a fantastic Showing. Women Photographers exhibit is very well put together. Oldest piece in the museum is 4700 years old. Gives me goose bumps to be in its presence. Thank you.
Visiting the MFA is the perfect way to spend a weekend morning! The museum was featuring great artwork. In particular we enjoyed the ‘Explore The Vaults’ collection. Parking can be challenging, especially on the weekend, as the museum doesn’t have many available spaces & this part of St. Pete is always busy. Arrive early or look at near by garages within walking distance to avoid fighting the parking crowds.
My daughter and I went on the weekend and all the museums were free for residents and students I wasn't sure what exhibits they currently had. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the curious staff as well as the many collections from a vast time periodic was a day we will never forget.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
This museum earns five stars, but honestly it's not because it's the best museum in the world, it's because it's located in Saint Petersburg Florida. This is about as much is anyone could hope for outside of Boston, New York or Chicago. It's well organized, very well-kept, with a nice rounded collection. There's literally something here for all art lovers. About $22 per person to get in, with discounts available for most military, retired etc.
The MFA contains a wide range of artworks from various places and from various time periods. It is well laid out and contains a good mix of paintings and sculpture/artifacts. Pro Tip: If you don’t want to take a tour with a docent, there are excellent paper guides directly to the right of the door as you enter the main display area. They each focus on a specific topic. You would be sure to find one that would interest you.
Just had to visit the Gio Swaby exhibit once more before it leaves. Went to this museum for a mom-daughter date and she loved it because she recognized the work of Georgia O'Keefe which was cool! I love the variety of exhibits here.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
Excellent diversity of fine art, environment, staff, a gem to st petersburg. Georgia o’keeffe paintings and others inspired by her revolutionary style and much much more. Located in the heart of action in st pete. Excellent restaurants and movie near by. Also hotels, cafes, marina, water recreation, near the st pete airport where flights are available. Gem gem gem and super valuable the price of the museum. Only about $20!!! Beautiful outside areas too. Feel free to come dressed and take pictures for social media or art. You will have the opportunity here
It was a great experience and totally complimented my trip. They have a great collection of artifacts and frames. Plenty of areas very well organized by era and region. I wish it had a guide to tour and and lecture us on a few things. Also, parking get really difficult so allocate time. Tickets price are great and staff is very polite. A must go if you are in Fl.
Nice selection of stuff, but some of the exhibits seem to need work. The description on the card didn't match the display, or there were more cards than items on display. And no docents to ask. But I may be spoiled after visiting The Met recently in NYC.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$21–30
