Our mission is to support the recruitment, retention, and holistic (academic, leadership, professional) success of students most negatively affected by institutionalized racism and education inequity.
Centrally located in the CC Building, Room 267, we provide a space that promotes learning, knowledge, teamwork, and the achievement of personal and educational goals.
The MC values academic achievement, community-building, and social justice which is demonstrated through our leadership programs, peer tutoring service, mentoring opportunities, student activities, campus events, and community partnerships.
We work to create a welcoming, affirming, and inclusive campus environment for ALL students by:
*Organizing events and activities that further our mission.
*Raising critical awareness on issues like race, ethnicity, culture, power, oppression, and social justice.
*Collaborating with campus and community partners to promote education equity.
*Promoting diversity among students, staff and faculty.
