The owners have tried to make a go of this campground. But it is definitely in need of improvements. Lots of old equipment, even a camper that has been abandoned. I honestly think it's just more upkeep than what the owners can keep up with. Lots of mud due to the lack of gravel and the road is full of potholes. Just.not a very pleasant experience. In fact we paid for a month but left after 2 weeks when we found another campground.
This is a nice campground . I can only stay one month but the campground is beautiful. The neighbors that I have talked with have been very friendly. No loud noise at night, people actually show respect for each other. The lots are a decent size. I even had space to put up an exercise pen for my furry children. The lady in the office was very friendly at check in and remained that way until one of my Yorkies climbed out of his 4 ft tall play area. Her mood and attitude suddenly changed after that. I took 4 of the fur children out on their leashes for a walk and saw other fur babies tied outside. It was a major crime for mine to escape but OK for others to tie them outside. I know that mine escaping was not OK and I do try hard to keep an eye on him. The place is still beautiful, but a little attitude adjustment would be good. The lady hasn't spoken to me since my fur baby climbed the fence.... and yes I did apologize for him acting like a cat.
Absolutely Wonderful place to stay a night or two, The staff are super friendly and easy to talk to.Rooms: 5/5
THIS is camping! The owners are in the process of making improvements. The trees, the mountains, the friendly people plus full hook up make this campground one that I will come back to. If you are looking for a resort, don't come here. If you want peaceful camping this is the place.
I’m going to call this place authentic country. That means you’ll see some construction equipment sitting on the property and other stuff giving it a cluttered look. There are several long term tenants here. Someone is always cutting grass or cutting wood and the owners work hard to maintain the place. Both owners are friendly and will do what they can to give you a pleasant stay. A neighbor seems to shoot at varmints every now and then; let’s say 3 or 4 shots a day. The restroom is concrete and the shower has a wood deck floor. The concrete has some stains. If you’re interested in authentic country, not the dude ranch version, then I think you’d enjoy your stay here.
Arrived at this beauty around 6PM and was greeted like family. We have a beautiful site over looking a cow pasture. Seems to be many seasonals here. Laundry room available and full hook ups. Cost for 6 nights $183. Cheap enough for the serenity we have. Pretty flower beds scattered about.
I can’t believe this is the same campground-as reviewed and pictured on the Internet with four out of five rating? It is very dated and antiquated. The rest room is filthy and very old, one small room. I would not use it for the smell. Nice folks but no where near the reviews. It is unkept and sites are off dirt road. The community center is abandoned cluttered and dirty. I will agree it’s quiet and our site backed up to a farm with cows and a few horses.
No stars, had to select a star to post. . Place is a run down campground. Not sure where these reviews came from, but it was so bad we left and went to a state park to stay. There was trash in the entrance which cut a tire on my daughter's vehicle and the owners did not offer to help replace the tire or even offer to help change it to the spare. The owner said I been meaning to go out and pickup that trash. The owner had to clean out the over grown vegetation around the power and sewage pipe to the site we were going to stay in, but we didn't stay. The pictures on the website does not portray how the actual campground looks. The campground is a dump.
The owners were very nice. The WIFI was mostly hit and miss unless I went to the clubhouse, then I got 2 bars. The grounds were very clean. I didn't use the bath facilities so I cannot voice an opinion. There was no water in the pool or the stream that borders the property. That was a disappointment as I love searching mountain streams. Overall that is the only negatives I have. It was very, very quiet and peaceful and I would stay there again.
I am only giving two stars and that is mainly because of some of the beautiful scenery in that location but as far as the campground goes it is not as advertised and is overgrown and run down pictures on there site are not real current and the pool is no more there was so many dogs barking around the clock it sounded like you were staying in a kennel and campers so close together some could not even open there canopies all the way without touching another camper owners pretty much just stuck to themselves but we're nice other then they DID NOT tell people staying there that there were people that had tested positive for covid in the campground witch in my opinion I don't think was right
