When no one would take my husband into hospice because he had a traecheostomy this place did . So grateful for this company - Our nurse Bren was so wonderful and so supportive of us and my husband - I couldn’t say enough good things about Bren or the care we received . I would give them 5 stars but the night my husband passed the on call nurse left us while he was passing as we didn’t know what to expect - she had another patient but when I spoke with her she was kind of abrupt and said “ do you want me to come back”? I didn’t know what to say - also I asked if we could get more oxygen tanks and she didn’t seem too concerned about getting them - I was told - I can see but probably not until tomorrow - if you didn’t they they were going to matter maybe she should’ve explained to me he was probably not going to survive the night. But when she had left she said he was “recovering “ Again I am very grateful for this service they provided . It is such a hard thing to do when you don’t know what to expect
My father spent his last days here...the staff was compassonate and helpful....we were allowed to stay with him untill he passed...the accomodations for the members of family are great...the staff handled his passing with great care...my father was a Air Force Veteran and they honored him...I highly recommend this place for hospice.
What a wonderful facility. So clean and inviting. Their remodel makes it feel like home. The staff is so nice and caring. Thanks Kevin for the wonderful tour.
Thank you for taking care of my mother during her last days....RN's Bonnie, Ramona, PCT Marissa are great caring people I ran into. I know there are others. Thanks for the great breakfast and coffee also. I enjoyed it.
Thankful to all the staff who supported and cared for my aunt. Everyone was caring, compassionate, and professional. I wish everyone who has a terminal diagnosis could have this experience. While death in itself is a difficult time our family felt very supported by all. It was a very sacred time for us. Thank you for allowing my aunt to die with dignity and respect.
The level of care provided to my father during his final days was overwhelming. The continued position adjustments, comfort meds, lighting, and outdoor air was just as he would have appreciated. I appreciated the added attention received to ensure my needs were being met. I would so recommend this Hospice House to anyone in the decision making process. With our sincerest thanks,
The entire team at Peppi's were wonderful, caring & gentle with my aunt, as she reached her final days. Would highly recommend.
Extremely helpful and compassionate people. Made our experience so much easier to deal with. I notice a lot of small details that I thought were very sweet. Coffee always on hand, friendly staff, extremely clean.
The TMC Home Hospice service was more than we could have ever hoped for. Our team was Susan, Marybeth and Brian. After calling the Hospice Service, Susan came within an hour, assessed my 91-year-old father, and had the Home Hospice equipment delivered that afternoon. The next day the rest of the Dream Team, Marybeth the Social Worker and Brian the Hospice nurse came and with the "Comfort Care Kit" Morphine, Atropine & Lorazepam and taught my sisters and I how and when to administer - plus very helpful easy to read and understand literature that explained exactly what was going to happen for the next week & how to administer the drugs to keep our father comfortable. They are very pragmatic and don’t sugarcoat the process. Our father had four lucid days – very chatty and upbeat, and then slowed down for the last three days. Marybeth was totally available to us throughout. Our dad passed peacefully on August 11, 2022. Brian came out and made the declaration. We chose one of the only two independent Mortuaries in Tucson – Hudgel’s Swan Funeral Home – and Brian Hudgel made the removal and paperwork so easy and comforting. Our father had the best Passing possible thanks to these caring people.
Peppi’s House is one of a kind. The special souls working there bring genuine patience, kindness, deep care, and authenticity to such a trying time for individuals and families. Finding a quality hospice can be very stressful and challenging but the nurses and staff at Peppi’s bring such grace and kindness to the process, you are left feeling at peace. I spent several days there through my grandfather’s end of life process and there wasn’t one time that the ladies at Peppi’s House were anything but fantastic. You can tell when someone is inauthentic by their care, gestures, tone, and communication; however, each and every time I was around, I witnessed or felt none of that. Everyone working there went out of their way to take exceptional care of my grandfather, to make him as comfortable and at peace as possible while also taking the time to ensure my aunt and I were also well cared for and had anything we needed. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
