AMAZING experience with Dr.Trueba and all of his staff. I arrived an hour and a half early to my appointment due to transportation/childcare and the staff was incredibly accommodating and even calmed my 6 year-old down about what was going to happen at the appointment with “her dog.” Highly recommend!!
The care of Dr Trueba and his team is amazing. I would never take any of my animals to anyplace else but to see him. He is very compassionate and knowledgeable. Saved many of my furry friends and helps when it is time to say goodbye.
So I was late for an appointment and I apologized for it. The first technician said that it was ok, that I could still be seen so I sat down to fill in my pets information on a sheet of paper. Next thing I know, one of the Vets assistants says to me in a sarcastic and condescending tone, “You know your appointment was at 10!?” And I said, ok? And what is your point? She replies saying, “We have a lot of other work to do,” nobody in the lobby except I and my dog. I was in shock that I got lip from this lady, it was clear that she did not want to work except maybe eat donuts underneath her desk. I’m like, whatever, I grabbed my dog and placed the sign in sheet on the counter and took off. I don’t know the name of this lady, but she was heavy set. The other girl at this clinic was nice and had manners. If you get the nice girl, good for you, if you get the disgruntled witch for lack of better words, then good luck to you. Worse experience at a Vet clinic ever.
Two years later and I still spell Quality as Dr. Joe at Wiseman animal hospital. 10/2015 Have used some of their services over the years and each time it has been great! When I called them regarding an emergency situation they were able to direct me to a closer clinic that we got to just in time. They put the care of the pet ahead of everything. Thanks.
I referred my elderly mother here when her cat fell ill. The afternoon before her appointment, she came home to her cat in apparent pain. She called to see if there was any way she could be seen and they told her no. She explained that she felt the cat would need to be euthanized. They referred her to an emergency clinic. Moments later, the cat closed her eyes and passed away. Once I calmed my mom down, she called Wiseman back and informed them the cat had passed away and asked if she could take her there for cremation. They said sure, but then charged her FULL price for euthanization and cremation. The cat had already passed, so NO VET OR DRUGS WERE REQUIRED; however, they charged her for it. This was VERY UNFAIR! Then, apparently they attempted to call my mom to let her know the ashes were ready for her to pickup. They did not leave a message or try back, but instead sent my mom a letter in the mail. This is all VERY IMPERSONAL! Losing a beloved pet is very tragic and I feel they did a horrible job handling my mom in every aspect! I am embarrassed I referred Wiseman and will never do so again!
I have been here with one rescue pet that has sever valley fever and needs to gets tested every 3 months, they charge WAY too much for the tests. We have been to two other excellent veterinarians we now go to Buena pet clinic on the East side of Tucson and it is excellent and shockingly better priced and this place did not even compare in staff, decor, caring about pet comfort, price - nothing. The staff I found was rude, especially on the phone when I recently called inquiring boarding. They didn't seem to understand that you don't always have an EXACT birthday for rescue pets. I am not out to get these people, but felt it was my duty to inform other pet owners of the far superior options in Tucson - this is not it!
In 2016 I boarded my cat for nearly a month. I didn't ~see~ the actual kennel. I was told it was air conditioned. Everything seemed fine with my cat when I returned. I do not trust any vaccine and believe they cause cancers but I had to have her shots in order to stay. .....Shots are slow-release money makers. So here is a DIFFERENT story with same cat dropped off again in 2018!.....but not good. I was concerned dropping my cat off when they had sign posted for hiring kennel staff. There was a member who lives behind the facility who works there and "Checks"on them. He is a very nice man but kinda overly nice which made me just a little suspicious. He came to front desk covered in sweat and looked tired. Probably doing all the work since understaffed? IDK. . This started my discomfort . He took me and my cat back to kennel and I was totally surprised to see kennels were like small to medium dog kennels with very loud prison like metal doors and latches. I know I'm sounding dramatic but that's the scene here and feel!!! .....Most cats were meowing . Other kennels the cats aren't all stressed like that except Animal Control. Because it's LOUD AND a lot of traffic! My cat was terrified!!!!!!! The room was spacey but very warm in there even in morning! They had only a floor fan and said something about their swamp cooler wasn't working but it's usually on. I was so so unhappy and worried about my cat and had to leave quickly to catch plane overseas. I comforted my cat as much as I could but she HATED it. The other cats were all the same it seemed. I bet the employees are loud and slam doors and there is absolutely ZERO comforting here for a cat!!!!!! I don't know about the dogs. The employees seemed stressed but gladly took my money. The front office was nice and VERY cool air conditioned but NOT BEYOND INTO THE KENNELS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BOARD A CAT HERE. NEVER!!! Dogs may be ok I haven't a clue. I do not trust this place and I had my friend pick my cat up to be transferred to different boarding place. ASAP!! ..... She said the kennel smelled very strong and had the smell on her when she got home. She sent me a video of my cat and she was howling like I've never heard it. I'm going to keep the video. I've never seen my cat so terrified. They gave her the WRONG CAT the 1st time. Omg. My cat is already doing better. She even looks relaxed and pupils not dilated and not meowing. Howling. Her kennel at the new place is a 3 level , very clean and quiet. She gets out with staff twice a day to play. This is the way an animal facility should be. Animals aren't here to be burdons! Don't offer boarding if it is insufficient. I was upset before but I am not angry with them. ....Just hope they create a more suitable area for cats. Tucson Is HOT and conditions there were not healthy for animals in kennels. It is stressful enough being boarded. PS....I'm still worried about the cats in there now.
I have boarded my dog at Wiseman's for 5 or 6 years without problem until this last time. I had requested that her nails be clipped and that she be given a bath on the pickup day. When I checked her out the lady checking us out said "her nails were to short to clip so we didn't clip them and we removed the charge from her bill". On the way home her paw started bleeding in the pickup and she left bloody footprints wherever she walked. When we got home and examined her paws, her nails had been clipped and very short in a couple of places. In addition, there was a very obvious place on her nose that looks like she had been bit and they didn't say anything about it. I understand that sometimes things happen but I don't understand the lady lying to us about it. They won't see my dog again!
Our cats and most recently, 2 yr old Dachshund Monroe are always well taken cared for medically & boarded. Everyone very loving and professional at all times.
