Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
I attended Northwestern University in Chicago and received my Bachelor’s of Science Degree with a concentration in Biology and Respiratory Therapy. I've worked as a Respiratory Therapist for over 20 years specializing in adult, pediatric and neonatal intensive care. I also worked extensively with pre- and post-open heart as well as all different chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and neurological patients.
I've worked full-time at Central DuPage Hospital until the birth of my daughter in 2002. I then worked part-time for a short period until my husband Scott and I decided it would be best for me to be a full-time, stay home mom.
I have always been interested in health and fitness. It was natural for me to play and compete in all sorts of sports including baseball, softball, and basketball since I was the only female growing up in a household with three brothers.
In 2011, I received my personal training certificate through International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). I'm also certified in CPR/AED through the American Heart Association. I'm very eager to train and encourage people to make exercise and good health an integral part of their lives just like it has been for me from a young age.
