The Plainfield NH Historical Society is committed to preserving Plainfield's past for future generations. The Society collects artifacts related to Plainfield.
Projects of the historical society have included mapping the town's cemeteries, conducting mini-courses on Plainfield history to elementary children, documenting architecture and age of buildings in town, preserving the Maxfield Parrish Stage Set, and digitizing over 5000 glass slides of Ernest Harold Baynes. The historical society led the efforts to preserve the history of Plainfield through the book, "Choice White Pines and Good Land" and the "Family Genealogies of Plainfield."
