How it works: Bring in your gently used brand name clothing and accessories. While you check out the latest styles in the store, a certified buyer will review your items. The buyer will create an offer based on style, condition, brand and the store's current stock levels. Once you accept the offer, you'll be on your way to some extra cash or a hot new outfit (or two)!!

Please remember we stop buying clothes one hour before closing time...so get it in early and we'll do the rest. Don't forget your photo ID, for your safety and ours!

If you’re a woman of color especially a black woman don’t sale to this location. They buy outdated trash items from white women but not authentic name brands from women of color. I’ve seen men of color get great rates for their items but of course women are doing the pricing so they’ll show favoritism if they’re attracted to them. I dropped my items off at 10:07 and got a text at 10:22 that my items were ready. They didn’t touch my items only the shoes on top and offered $6 for them. They’re only response was the items were not in season meanwhile the manager is dressed like a tacky hippie. The only associates who have style are the women of color but of course they’re not allowed to price items. Karma will be my justice because they will be treated unfairly and when they do I hope they think of all the women they’ve done wrong. Here a couple items 2 rompers and yoga pants they would not take claiming they are not in style. I rushed to take the pictures because I’m so frustrated so hopefully you at least have an idea of the style of clothing I attempted to sale. Those yoga pants are definitely in style but I guess not from me,
Brought in clothing, shoes, and jewelry to sell, bit the staff informed me that the items did not smell "freshly laundered" enough. The shoes and jewelry were ignored. As an individual who is easily overwhelmed by scents and perfumes, I have a large issue with this, as I had laundered my clothing many months before bringing them to the store and use unscented detergent and dryer sheets due to my sensitivity. I am not going to buy something to give my clothing the smell the store wants for already clean clothing. Furthermore, what of accessories and shoes, which cannot be laundered??
Called at 4:30pm to make sure they were taking drop offs for the day and said I would arrive around 6pm which they said was fine. I drove nearly an hour there only to be told they are no longer taking drop offs and that I should have checked their instagram before coming like I would just know that?. I told her that I called before coming for this very reason and the employee dismissed it.
So I had read the reviews of the workers not even caring to go through peoples bins that were selling so I decided to do a little test when selling my clothes. I placed 100 dollar bill in between the 2nd pair of worn once American eagle jeans. And I took a photo , three hours later I come by and everything was still in the same stacked position hundred dollar bill still there. She claimed she was going to pass due to an “odor” Every item in the tub was freshly laundered and folded. When she mentioned that there was an odor she said it loud enough to the point that everyone stared at me, I’m not a dirty individual, everything I brought into the store was less than a year old, freshly laundered and folded. They didn’t even look at my bin they were to lazy too and made an excuse of it. Management needs to get a whole new staff because they were so rude. I’ll never be going back and I’ll tell EVERYONE not to go to this location too
Had a terrible experience here. I went to take 3 bags of clothes here and they only bought 3 things out of those three. One of the things they bought was a $159 Kate Spade bag that they wanted to give me $10.50 for. When I asked if i could have it back, the “manager” rolled her eyes at me a scoffed. She was annoyed the whole time she helped me. On top of this, they low balled me for the clothes that I sold them but that always happens. I definitely don’t recommend trading your clothes in here. When I was looking at clothes in the store, I noticed a lot of them had stains and holes. I don’t think I will go back unless absolutely necessary.
I have been to a different Plato’s Closet a few years ago and they had really great things and were very picky with the clothes they had and took in. When I found out about this Plato’s Closet, I was super excited to go check it out. At the one I had been to before this one, everything had to look brand new and be decent brands. I drove an hour and 37 minutes to come here and most of the clothes you could clearly tell were worn and they had a good bit of Walmart brands for $10. They had a pair of Shein jeans that you could clearly tell were worn and still wanted $18 for them. A lot of their jeans looked old and some had worn areas between the legs. I ended up purchasing two shirts for almost $16. The employees were nice.
if i could give no starts i would this palce is nasty and the workers r rude i have been n thr a few times and every time they have been rude and no plus size
You are honestly better off selling your clothes at a yard sale. I brought in over 50 items and they only took 3. They gave me $6.50 for that. All of my clothes were washed and in good condition, but I was told that anything older than 18 months was out of style. Not worth it at all.
Terrible experience. Staff is unorganized and chaotic. Didn’t accept any of my clothing because they said “everything was older than a year” which was not true but this is not posted anywhere in the store. Also nothing in the container had even been touched or looked over. Save your time, money, and gas and go elsewhere to sell back clothes.
I know these type of places aren't for everyone, but it more than works for me. I can get and entire new season of clothes for what I would spend at Wal-Mart or Target except with great quality named brand merchandise. The Hoover location has a friendly staff that always offers a helping hand. The only reason I have a star knocked off is due to the store needing to be a little cleaner dust bunnies.
