A local family friend recommended a stop here with our 3 year old. We're so glad that we stopped by. The zoo is the perfect size for a 3 year old to explore not too big and not too small and had lots of animals for her to see up close. Her favorites were Seven the horse and the new lions. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
Great place and a wonderful service for the animals who need to be rescued. When we got there, we were informed that they no longer allow feeding the animals anything and they no longer provide popcorn and peanuts. That was a bit of a disappointment for us, but we still had a nice time!Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
Nice place with lots animals. My 23 year old niece and 11 year old son loved the place minus the sand on the ground. Don’t wear your best sneakers. Heads up, you can meet the pets without making an appointment. They only give a photo album to browse. I don’t think that looking at photos will get these dogs and cats new homes quickly.
Great work being done. All the animals have names and their story on how the ended up at the poopcorn park. Go later in the day most of the animals are out because they all know its feeding time.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
Always love this place. Shane you can't feed the animals anymore, but still a good trip. Kids loved it and the staff talked to them all about the different animals they were cleaning and feeding.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
This place was so awesome. I wasn't sure how it was going to be, But it did not disappoint. The kids loved it the cards outside of the cages were super educational. The one complaint I do have is that the bathrooms were really far. And if you're going with multiple kids especially a baby. It's hard because there steps into a trailer. Other than that I thought that it was a great place for an easy outing.
I use to come here all the time when I was a kid. This is a family friendly zoo, feeding the animals was one of my all time favorite thing to do as a kid. I love being able to see the animals up and personal. The money goes to take care of the animals. Staff is nice. I sure miss sunny the elephant. They do take care of their animals well and this is a must for Any animal lover. Nice way to spend the day with your family.
Popcorn Animal Refuge is a remarkable sanctuary that deserves high praise. Their dedication to providing a safe haven for animals in need is truly commendable. The facilities are well-maintained, creating a nurturing environment for the residents. The staff is passionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to the welfare of the animals. It's evident that each animal receives personalized care and attention. The educational programs offered here are insightful and help raise awareness about animal welfare. Overall, Popcorn Animal Refuge is a beacon of hope for creatures in distress, and their work should be celebrated and supported. Take the time to read the stories about each individual animal in the refuge.
Came today with the kiddos, an inexpensive way to connect with animals and nature. The whole place was pretty clean and the animals seem loved. There are not allowing you to feed them popcorn at this time. Only negative is a lot of exhibits were empty.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
