My two daughters love the comfy chairs and I’m very happy with the product. With that said the woman helping us was very cold, didn’t smile, acted as if we were putting her out. A little boy asked to use the rest room, he was about 7 or 8, said said they were out of order and gave complicated direction, didn’t smile and in my opinion was beyond rude. If you’re working in customer service especially in a children store one would think they would hire friendly, helpful people. I’m still upset by the experience.
We Bought a crib and many other items from this store and online since May. I had the crib delivered to the store and my husband and I picked it up when it came in, in June. The people at the store were helpful and pleasant. My husband put the crib together and realized that the front portion is damaged. I tried to include a picture, but it will not let me. He said there was no damage to the box so it must have been manufactured that was. It has a dent in it that is pink and white. It’s not missing any paint it just has pink and a chunk taken out of it. I called this pottery barn store and the associate told me to call customer service. I called customer service and they said they would send a new one to my home and they would come and take the old one and set up a new one. I said thank you and waited 2 weeks and received notification that the crib was delivered to the store. The manager from the store called me and I explained the situation and she said to call customer service. After spending 4 plus hours on the phone with customer service a supervisor never called me back as promised I talked to someone that said she figured it out, cancelled the crib that was sent to the store and reordered one to come to my house which would be assembled and they would take the damaged one. It had now been almost 4 weeks and I have not received a crib. I called the store and she told me that she would look into it and call me back. That was 3 days ago and I have not heard a thing. I then called customer service this am and received a whole other story and was told I need to disassemble this crib and take it back to the store I’m 8 months pregnant and live 50 minutes from the store this is not an option. We have spent over $2500 since May between us and our family for our baby and this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wish that I could just return the whole thing, but we have everything to match this crib and we need a non damaged crib!! The man I talked to today on the phone 1 hour on the phone and I had to go to work so I asked him to call me with a resolution I am assuming I will not get a resolution and will be calling back again this week. I want the damaged crib removed from my home and a new one delivered and set up. After 2 months with awful customer service and zero follow up I do not believe this is too much to ask. I am 8 months pregnant and we need a non damaged crib for our baby. The customer service from the store and online is a joke and after this I never want to shop here again. At 8 months pregnant I should not have to deal with incompetent people and 50 different stories with no resolution or follow up. I work in retail as a store manager and no matter what company I have worked for we always make it right. This company does not care about making anything right. It seems interesting that their website and Facebook page do not allow for reviews... I now understand why.
Came in with my wife for a registry gift, nice, personable, down to earth staff. My wife and I were rather shocked by how disrespectfully several customers spoke to them. I guess I hadn't been shopping in awhile, i didn't realize it must be common place now to treat others like that. I apologized to the staff on their behalf. Come in with a good attitude, leave happy.
This store was a blast! Not only was it fun for the kids and I but... the employees and manager was so friendly and respectful. They treat all with respect and will help you with whatever you need! Not long ago I took my children to a party there where they were able to do fun crafts and eat delicious snacks. The quality of these products are pristine and desirable. I highly recommend this pottery barn kids for the enjoyment of yourself and others!
Do not buy your furniture from Pottery Barn! I ordered a crib from the store and had it shipped to my house with “white glove delivery.” Upon arrival, the crib was taken out of the box in the middle of the street. One by one, the drivers unpacked the pieces in the snow covered street and carried them in. As I was watching from my window, I noticed the box was beat up and the pieces did not have any plastic wrap or cushioning. I thought it was strange, but trusted that I was still getting a quality product. The workers put the crib together and called me up to inspect it. The crib was a mess. There were black scuff marks, large paint chips, and areas where the wood was chipped and then clearly repainted. It was obvious they gave me a used crib. I was beyond angry. I paid hundreds of dollars for this crib and went to this store expecting quality. What I got was far from it. I spent 5 hours on the phone with 4 different customer service representatives. At one point, they had me on hold for an hour I’m sure hey were expecting me to give up and didn’t want to deal with me anymore. Each representative told me something completely different. I finally got a manager on the phone. None of them seemed to understand how upsetting and unprofessional this entire situation was. I had to ask them to refund my $200 shipping. They also ended up giving me a $75 gift card and promised a new crib in 2 weeks. ...a month later, my new crib was finally delivered. When the new workers came to take the old one, they said that not only was it damaged, but it was also missing multiple screws. That could have ended up being a huge safety issue for my child. I will never shop with this company again. I paid top dollar for a crib. They sent me a defective, used crib that was completely unsafe for my child. This company should be ashamed
I have never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful behavior towards a customer!!! The associate Zita walked away from me as I was mid sentence in front of the manager. When I asked the manager why she tolerates the behavior she laughed!! Spoke to the GM - Jen and she made plenty of excuses.... never once did I get an apology from any of the managers #shadowoftheleader, except for the sweet customer service rep Naila! You would think based on cost of product you should get great customer service!
Sales associate was so kind. Ordered an item that was being sold in the store but none left “in the back” and waived shipping. Only to find out I was charged for shipping. Called the store back to get their error corrected but instead everyone pointed the finger and would not help. I had call their customer service directly. Luckily they didn’t want to lose the sale and made it right. Won’t be going back to shop simply to be lied too.
Horrible experience, very rude staff especially the older blonde woman that appears to be the store manager. The younger male associate seemed nice but the older looking blonde manager is a nightmare, she needs coaching on how to speak to customers, I shared my bad experience with a few friends and all of them had similar poor service from the same older looking blonde manager. I wish I knew her name so upper management can get her the right help and training unless she is not correctable and shouldn't be customer facing. Next time I will avoid the store and buy online or choose a different vendor.
I am deeply disappointed with the customer service. Even moreso because I am a fan of the products. Unfortunately, when there is a problem with shipping or an error, you want to know that you're dealing with a reputable brand that stands behind their promises and keeps their word. Sadly, Pottery Barn Kids has shown me that this is not the way they conduct business. I have made every effort to contact them discreetly via phone, email, even Facebook Messenger. Though a supervisor was kind enough to offer an acceptable solution after hours of time spent on transferred calls, the company did not keep this promise and cancelled the arrangements the supervisor put in place to resolve the problem. Then all communications ceased when I attempted to ask for accountability and compensation for the inconvenience. Truly shocked and disappointed.
Fiancé went through today to get to another store just to get confronted by an associate to see if she needed any help finding anything. She stated she doesn't at this time she's just headed to another store. Associate asked that she didn't come through the store since it will throw off the store's numbers and the associates get dinged for it. To think that this store's associates would 1 tell a future customer this 2 treat a person like this, just blows my mind. Not only are we getting engaged and were going to register here but her side of the family has spent thousands here on their newborns and would've on their next baby that is a month away but knowing this is your company's focus, we'll pass. Furthermore, she was going to stop on the way out to find some items for the baby shower tomorrow. Poor experience from a place I would expect more from.
