It is my pleasure to highly recommend Romero Funeral Home. A special thank you to Ezra and Iris. Ezra assured special and compassionate care as we dealt with the loss of our beloved mom. Iris worked hard to assure our memorial announcements were beautifully done. Thank you.
In such a dark time it was nice having Romero's there. They show real compassion and helped guide us to memorialize our loved one properly. Andres was very helpful and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend
Patrick was very helpful and understood our needs. Helped where he could. Was a good experience, considering the reason we had to go there in the first place.
We used Romeros Funeral home and worked with Angelica Jimenez. Though we had a rough start with the first director... he was not a fit for us, but then Angelica was sent to us on the day of the services and she was INCREDIBLE. Not only was she beyond professional and sweet but she took care of everything! If we changed something last minute or needed help with something, she was on top of it! She was beyond helpful with getting our Pallbearers set up and in formation, but she handled the guests, flowers, casket, and our family with poise and respect. Her attention to detail was beyond amazing. Even at the burial, she was very good at not being in the way but there when you need it. HIGHLY and ONLY recommend her! We owe a great gratitude from our Family to her. It was because of her that our services went so unbelievably well when we were nervous in the beginning with the first guy we had. Thank you to Angelica!
Amazing and helpful experience dealing with Romero, Will always use and recommend them.
This was the 1st time we have had to plan a funeral and did not know what to expect or do. Ralph made us feel so welcome, put us at ease and made it the absolute best experience. Thanks so much for all your effort and making us feel like you have known us for years, we appreciate everything you did for us.
The staff here are absolutely amazing. They took care of everything for my father. He was a veteran and they made all of the arrangements through Fort Logan. They made the difficult time we were going through a little easier. Once we gave them our wishes they made it happen. If you are trying to find someone to help with your loved ones arrangements I highly recommend them. I can't say enough how grateful I am for everything they did for my dad.
After the tragic and unexpected passing of my mother in law, our family chose Romero’s to hold her service. Although our family was struck with grief, worried of not getting everything perfect, and made a lot of changes, Romero’s actually exceeded our expectations. The service was absolutely beautiful. We had made a last minute pastor change due to wanting more of a religious tone, and Efrian did an amazing job! He was attentive, sympathetic, and met all of our last minute expectations!! Thank you Romero’s for serving our family during this difficult time.
My family booked with Romero funeral home this last week and it was a DISASTER! If I could give negative stars I surely would. Let's start with the fact that the place is supposed to open at 8:30am, we arrive at 8:00am so that we can be there when they open. 8:30am rolls around and no one is there. We wait awhile and call to see what's going on. They are running late to open they will be about 15 mins more. So when they get there we proceed to try to set up only to find out that they moved our service from 9 to 10 without notifying anyone of the sudden changes. And when we ask where the urn and ashes where they said they where on the way which took another 20 mins. Horrible Horrible service from beginning to end, as it was rushed due to the time change so another family could be in at 11am. Worst funeral service to go through. Update: after the review was posted my mother in law received a call from the funeral home harassing her while she is in mourning about the review belittling her until she was in tears, extremely unprofessional.
My boyfriend passed away a couple weeks go. His family chose Romero's in Lakewood to do his services. I am completely appalled by the horrible job Romero's did. 1-His obituary was not posted online until 2 days before the service. They put his father's name wrong. 2-I was told by a Romero's staff member to bring clothes so he could be dressed for the private viewing. When I got to Romero's I was turned away. They said they don't dress the deceased for private viewings. It was so hard picking out clothes for him and then to just be turned away broke my heart. 3-The day of the service the music cut out in the middle of the song his family chose specifically for me. 4-The computer system had not been updated properly so we were unable to play the slide show that had been prepared. 5-A locket had been ordered with his ashes in it for me and was not given to us along with the rest of his remains. It took several phone calls from both his sister and I before Romero's found it. 6-When they couldn't find the locket his sister was told it was most likely in the urn with his ashes. The Romero's employee suggested I open the urn and check. I did. No locket. Opening my sweet boyfriend's urn 2 days after his services was gut wrenching. 7-When his sister and I went to Romero's to retrieve the locket we informed them of how Romero's had dropped the ball and how disappointed we were with everything. The employee apologized but then said every employee has so many families they deal with and that it was something that happens to about 1 in 10 services. "1 in 10" those were the employees words. His sister has also written a similar review. Romero's contacted her and initially offered her a couple candles to make up for it. What a joke! Then they offered to do the services again free of charge. I'm sorry but some moments don't get do-overs and this was one of them. I wish I could give Romero's a lower rating. This was hard enough for us to begin with and then to have Romero's show such unprofessionalism was heartbreaking.
